NBA: MVP Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook for 2021

The NBA is in its final week of the regular season. Some teams are prepping for next season and some teams are prepping to potentially make a deep run in the NBA postseason.

The 2020-2021 regular season has been an extremely weird season for a lot of reasons. Also, the quality of play has been way down as of late and so have the ratings across the NBA.

Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, has won the last two NBA MVP Awards. He is most likely not going to win it again this season, but Antetokounmpo is still one of the best players in the NBA.

With that in mind, who could potentially win the 2021 NBA MVP Award provided by via FanDuel Sportsbook?

Nikola Jokic -1900

Jokic is the massive favorite to win his first NBA MVP Award for the Denver Nuggets. Everything starts with him on the offensive end of the floor for Denver.

He has bene one of the few players so far this season that has stayed healthy throughout the regular season. Nikola Jokic has made Michael Porter Jr. into a better basketball player. Jokic has been one of the reasons why Denver hasn’t faltered since the Jamal Murray injury.

Nikola Jokic is the heartbeat of the Denver Nuggets. He is one of the best players in the NBA for a reason.

Jokic has played in 68 games so far this season for the Denver Nuggets in the NBA. He is averaging 26.4 PPG, 10.8 RPG, 8.5 APG, 0.7 BPG, and 1.4 SPG.

If Nikola Jokic does win the NBA MVP Award and he should, he would be the first big man in a very long time to do so. The Denver Nuggets are currently in the fourth seed in the Western Conference because of him.

Joel Embiid +1600

This would have been the best chance for Joel Embiid to walk away with his first NBA MVP Award. However, Embiid probbaly won’t win it because of load management and a stretch of injuries during the regular season.

Joel Embiid is one of the reasons why the Philadelphia 76ers are currently the number one seed in the Eastern Conference. It has been a very long time that Philadelphia has made it to the NBA Finals.

It was in 2001 they were last in it and lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in five games. Joel Embiid has played in 49 games so far this season. He is averaging 29.2 PPG, 10.7 RPG, 2.9 APG, 1.4 BPG, and 1.0 SPG. Embiid is one of the best players on the defensive end of the floor also here as well.

He is also one of the most dominant big men in the NBA when he is healthy. If they don’t have him, the Philadelphia are usually in trouble with Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris.

Steph Curry +1600

Curry has the Golden State Warriors in the eighth spot in the Western Conference. They would currently face the Los Angeles Lakers in the play-in tournament.

Steph Curry has carried this team also season long. Golden State has not had Klay Thompson due to a torn ACL. Curry is one of the best shooters in NBA history.

He has played in 61 games so far this season. Steph Curry is averaging 31.9 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 5.7 APG, 0.1 BPG, and 1.2 SPG.

If they somehow win a playoff round or two, it will be a great feat with Draymond Green also and company.

My NBA MVP Order: 1. Nikola Jokic, 2. Steph Curry, and 3. Joel Embiid.

Chris Paul of the Phoenix Suns +10000, has the fifth best odds to win the NBA MVP Award behind Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks +5500. Paul would be a better bet than Antetokoumpo this season.
