NHL Vezina Trophy Candidates for 2021 Via FanDuel Sportsbook

The NHL is exciting to see when goalies get hot. Teams need a good to great goalie in order to win a Stanley Cup. Without that, it is not possible to do so today just like trying to win in the NFL without a great quarterback.

The Vezina Trophy (NHL’s best goalie) was won by Connor Hellebuyck of the Winnipeg Jets last season. A lot of teams are getting better at the goalie position as of late and some teams are drafting them higher in the NHL Entry Draft because of it.

Goalies usually steals games from time-to-time and are the reason why they either make it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs or miss it entirely. It is not an easy position to play by any means at all.

With the NHL regular season almost over, goalies will be preping to look their best down the road here as well. Who will win the Vezina Trophy (NHL’s best goalie) via FanDuel Sportsbook Odds?

Andrei Vasilevskiy -170

Vasilevskiy is the best goalie in the NHL. He is very athletic and can take the game over at any moment. Without him, the Tampa Bay Lightning would be finished despite having all of that talent because Curtis McElhinney is a horrible backup.

Andrei Vasilevskiy is the heartbeat of the Tampa Bay Lightning. He is going to potentially be one of the best goalies in the NHL of all time potentially.

Vasilevskiy won a Stanley Cup last season with the Tampa Bay Lightning. He only had one shutout and it was in game six against the Dallas Stars. They won the Stanley Cup Title because of it and will look to repeat in the NHL once again this season. The last team to repeat was the 2015-2016 and the 2016-2017 Pittsburgh Penguins.

Andrei Vasilevskiy has played in and started in 35 games so far this season for the Tampa Bay Lightning. His record is 27-7-7 with a .930 save percentage and a 2.05 GAA, along with four shutouts.

Marc-Andre Fleury +200

Marc-Andre Fleury continues to have one of the most impressive careers in the NHL. He is one of the reasons why the Vegas Golden Knights are one of the best teams in the NHL and also in the West Division.

Vegas is currently in the first spot in the West Division and they currently have a two-point lead over the Colorado Avalanche. Fleury has had an illustrious career also with the Pittsburgh Penguins and is going to be a first ballot hall of famer for the work he has done in the NHL.

Whenever the tires blow out on Marc-Andre Fleury, Vegas could potentially be in trouble because Robin Lehner has not been the same in net. Fleury is still elite at his position.

Marc-Andre Fleury has played and started in 30 games so far this season for the Vegas Golden Knights in the NHL. His record is 20-10-0 with a .925 save percentage and a 2.09 GAA, along with five shutouts.

Philipp Grubauer +400

Grubauer is having a better season for the Colorado Avalanche than I thought he was. The health of Philipp Grubauer is going to be the difference between winning the Stanley Cup Title in the NHL for the Colorado Avalanche this season and not.

They don’t have a reliable backup. The Avalanche are one of the best teams in the NHL. Colorado is currently in second place in the West Division. They are just two points back of the Vegas Golden Knights for first place in the West Division in the NHL.

Philipp Grubauer has an elite offense also on this roster and it is led by Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen, and Cale Makar. The Colorado Avalanche lost in the second-round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs last season to the Dallas Stars in overtime in a Game 7.

Grubauer has played in 34 games and has started in 33 games so far this season for the Colorado Avalanche. His record is 25-8-1 with a .920 save percentage and a 2.00 GAA, along with five shutouts.

My favorites to win the Vezina Trophy via FanDuel Sportsbook in the NHL are: 1. Andrei Vasilevskiy (TB), 2. Philipp Grubauer (COL), and 3. Marc-Andre Fleury (VGK). Don’t count out Connor Hellebuyck (WPG), who is currently fourth on FanDuel Sportsbook with a +500 odds to win the Vezina Trophy (NHL’s best goalie) in the NHL this season.
