NBA All-Star Game to Potentially Be Held in March
The NBA All-Star Game wasn’t even supposed to happen this season due to the coronavirus schedule. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the NBA and the NBAPA are discussing scenarios to hold an All-Star game in March.
One of the potential locations is Atlanta, Georgia, which is the home of Turner Sports. The idea includes providing support for HBCU’s and COVID-19 relief.
This would be a wonderful idea to do a fundraiser for the NBA All-Star Game. The NBA All-Star Game was fun last season. Who would potentially be the 12 representatives from each conference?
Players that would be coming off the bench: C Andre Drummond (CLE), SG Jaylen Brown (BOS), SG/SF/PF Jayson Tatum (BOS), PG/SG James Harden (BKN), C/PF Bam Adebayo (MIA), PF Domantas Sabonis (IND), and PG/SG Malcolm Brogdon (IND).
The eastern conference representatives would be very strong for the NBA All-Star Game. Most likely to be the captain for the east is Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets.
He is the heart and soul of the Brooklyn Nets. Durant is still one of the best players in the NBA.
Players that would be coming off the bench: SF/PF Kawhi Leonard (LAC), SF/SG Paul George (LAC), SG Devin Booker (PHX), SF/PF Brandon Ingram (NOP), PF Zion Williamson (NOP), PG Chris Paul (PHX), and Damian Lillard (POR).
The captain for the west would most likely be LeBron James. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Luka Doncic as a captain either.
The NBA All-Star Game is one of the most fun events during the NBA season. This event would be without the rookies vs sophomores game, the dunk contest, the three-point contest, and other fun events.
When it comes to the NBA All-Star Game, it will always come with snubs. Fans always vote when it comes to this stuff. It would be interesting to see who would make it and who wouldn’t.
These are my predictions in who would make the all-star game if it were to be played in March. It was successful last season and it was an intense fourth-quarter and hopefully, they can keep the same format forever.
This would be another success if the NBA goes on with it. All of the credit in the world goes to NBA commissioner Adam Silver. He continues to do a very good job of how the NBA season is progressing despite the coronavirus issues.
If they are able to sneak in the NBA All-Star Game this season, it could be a success.
Who do you think would be in the NBA All-Star Game if it were to be played in March? Leave a comment below.
