Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Three Keys vs Green Bay Packers

We have arrived at Championship weekend. There are just three NFL football games left in the 2020-21 season. The two winners will be heading to Tampa, FL for Super Bowl LV One of those games is the NFC Championship. The game will feature the NFC South Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the NFC North Green Bay Packers. Both of these teams played last week. The Buccaneers finally defeated their division rival the New Orleans Saints. This was the first win in three games that Tampa won. The Packers hosted the Los Angeles Rams and had no problem with them. These two teams faced off in week six. The Buccaneers were at home and defeated the Packers 38-10. This game will be different because both teams have gotten better. Both teams deserve to be in this game with a right to go to the Super Bowl.

Win the Turnover Battle

This key might sound cliché. If the Tampa Bay Buccaneers can win the turnover battle just like they did last week against the New Orleans Saints. Tampa caused four turnovers three interceptions and one fumble recovery. The Packers turned the ball over the least amount of times in the NFL this season. In their week six matchup Tampa got two interceptions off of Aaron Rodgers. If they can do that and keep from Tom Brady throwing interceptions and hold onto the ball they will win. This is key to win any game, but in the next two games, it is vital.

Established a Running Game

One of the reasons why the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the New Orleans Saints last week is they were finally able to establish a run game. Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones had a big game. Fournette was the workhorse he had 17 carries for 63 yards. Jones had 13 carries for 62 yards. This sets up the play-action passing game. Which both teams do very well and are a big part of their respective offenses. In their week six matchup, they had 158 yards mostly by Ronald Jones who had 113 of them. Fournette did not play but also look for Ke’Shawn Vaughn and LeSean McCoy to be a part of it.

Pressure Aaron Rodgers

In week six the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sacked Aaron Rodgers five times. There have not been many teams that can say that when it comes to facing him. The one aspect is you can force a quarterback into making mistakes. There is a chance that Vita Vea could return and that could help slow down the Packers’ running game. When you can that it will free up players like Ndamukong Suh, Devin White, Lavonte David, Shaquil Barrett, and Jason Pierre-Paul to rush Rodgers. Let’s see what defensive coordinator Todd Bowles will do.

The game will kick off at 3:05 PM EST. It will be at Lambeau Field with the weather being in the ’20s with a good chance of snow. In the past, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers do not play well in the cooler weather. I think they no longer have that problem. It should be a good game both teams have earned the right to be playing in this game. It features two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks in Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. The team that plays better and makes fewer mistakes will be heading to the Super Bowl.
