Orlando Magic: Markelle Fultz is Playing Well

Markelle Fultz is one of the most underrated point guards in the NBA this season. He is one of the reasons why the Orlando Magic are being successful this season. They easily took down the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night by a final score of 103-83.

Orlando is a new home for Fultz ever since being traded from the Philadelphia 76ers last season. He was the number one overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. Philadelphia passed up on Lonzo Ball out of UCLA and was drafted second overall by the Los Angeles Lakers and Jayson Tatum out of Duke University and was drafted third overall by the Boston Celtics.

Markelle Fultz has the Orlando Magic on the map once again this season. He has Orlando off to a 5-2 start so far this season for Orlando. Head Coach Steve Clifford is pleased with how hard he works on a day-to-day basis.

Fultz scored only six points but shot 33.3 percent from the field. He also grabbed five rebounds and recorded eight assists.

Markelle Fultz is the heartbeat of the Orlando Magic. He is becoming one of the most underrated point guards in the NBA.

Fultz is averaging 14.3 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 6.1 APG, 0.3 BPG, and 0.9 SPG, in seven games played so far this season.

He is only 22 years old and played only one season in college at the University of Washington in the PAC12.

For some odd reason, it just didn’t work in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Brett Brown, who was the Philadelphia 76ers head coach at the time, had no idea how to use him. This also falls on General Manager Elton Brand.

Markelle Fultz can still have a bright future in the NBA and he has been better at shooting the basketball ever since he has changed sceneries. Fultz is also playing hard on the defensive end of the floor as well here.

Nikola Vucevic and Cole Anthony are two of the core players for the Orlando Magic moving forward and they also have Terrance Ross. Mohamed Bamba is also on the roster and they also have other key pieces on the roster moving forward.

They have made it to the playoffs the last two seasons and could very well make it again this season because of point guard Markelle Fultz. They are trying to build a culture and a foundation in Orlando. He is going to be the reason why they could potentially win a playoff series once again one day.

They have not won a playoff series since 2010 against the Atlanta Hawks in a clean sweep. Orlando lost to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals in six games that season.

The Magic have not been to the NBA Finals since 2009 against the Los Angeles Lakers in five games and they upset the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games in the Eastern Conference Finals against Lebron James and company that season as well here.
