Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 3 Game Studs vs Atlanta Falcons

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have an 11 win season after winning today’s game over the Atlanta Falcons. These two teams met just two weeks ago and in the game, the Falcons had a 17 point lead at halftime but the Buccaneers had a great second half and took the victory. Tampa Bay had a 17 point lead in today’s game and the Falcons got close but in the end, the Bucs won 44-27. The Buccaneers were without Devin White and Shaq Barrett due to both testings positive for the coronavirus. It did not seem to matter because the Bucs made very few mistakes and got a pivotal win to clinch the 5th seed in the playoffs. They will wait to see if they travel to New York to play the Giants or to Washington to play the Washington Football team.

Tom Brady

Without Brady, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would not be where they are currently at. He has been one of the biggest factors for the 11 wins and the first playoff appearance in 13 years. In today’s game, he was 26-41 for 399 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. The interception was not his fault as Scotty Miller lost control and the Falcons took it away. This year Brady threw 40 touchdown passes which are remarkable at the age of 43. The offense played well today and this despite losing Mike Evans due to injury.

Chris Godwin

This young man has been a stud all season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady. Today Mike Evans after surpassing 1,000 yards for the seventh straight season hurt his knee in the end zone. With Evans out Godwin is the next weapon for Brady to throw to. He was targeted seven times Godwin had five catches for 133 yards and two touchdowns. Godwin will be a big weapon and if Evans comes back also add in Antonio Brown. The Buccaneers will make most defenses scramble if they have to play them in the postseason.

Antonio Brown

Brown was brought to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an insurance policy if Mike Evans or Chris Godwin got hurt. The status for Evans is still unknown for next week. Brown has been a shining star along with Scotty Miller and Tyler Johnson in the receiving core. He led in receiving yards today with 138 just edging Godwin by five. Brown had 11 catches on 14 targets with two touchdowns. No matter what he will be another player that will have to account for in the postseason. Brady asked the Bucs to pick him up and it has worked out great so far.

This was a big win a great season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They ended the longest playoff drought in the NFC and won 11 games. They overcame players out for Covid or injury and played the next man up very well. I also forgot to mention that Ronald Jones and the big game he had today. With the cooler weather happening in the north and the Buccaneers most likely heading to one of the cities the running game will be very important. Let’s see who the Buccaneers get in the first round of the playoffs.
