Pittsburgh Steelers What is Next for AFC North Champions?

The Pittsburgh Steelers faced a 24-7 deficit against the Indianapolis Colts in the third-quarter and it looked like Pittsburgh was going to lose its fourth straight game. They rallied in the second-half and Ben Roethlisberger threw the game-winning 25-yard touchdown pass to JuJu Smith-Schuster in the fourth-quarter with under eight minutes in regulation to take down the Indianapolis Colts by a final score of 28-24.

Roethlisberger carried the team on his back in the second-half. This is the first time that they win the AFC North in a few seasons.

The Baltimore Ravens won the AFC North last season at 14-2 and the Steelers are still alive potentially for the number two seed in the AFC at the moment. Had they lost, that would have been potentially out the window.

Ben Roethlisberger completed 34-of-49 passes for 342 yards and three touchdowns.

He is the heart and soul of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Roethlisberger is one of the reasons why they won the AFC North this season.

JuJu Smith-Schuster caught nine passes for 96 yards receiving and a touchdown. He was much better in this football game this week. Smith-Schuster stopped doing his silly TikTok videos after getting lit up on the road last weekend on Monday night football against the Cincinnati Bengals by Vonn Bell.

Smith-Schuster won’t be dancing on logos for the time being.

Diontae Johnson caught eight passes for 75 yards receiving and a touchdown. He also rushed for two yards on one carry.

This team can not rush the football. James Conner rushed for 20-21 yards in this football game on five carries and a touchdown. He also caught five passes for 45 yards receiving.

Chase Claypool caught four passes for 54 yards receiving. He needs to get more targets.

Eric Ebron caught five passes for 47 yards receiving and a touchdown. He played one of his better games this season for the Pittsburgh Steelers at the tight end position.

Head Coach Mike Tomlin, Offensive Coordinator Randy Fetchner, and Defensive Coordinator Keith Butler have had their fare share of criticism this season.

At the end of the day, they will be one of the favorites to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs (14-1) have officially clinched the number one seed in the AFC after taking down the Atlanta Falcons (4-11) by a final score of 17-14.

It will be interesting to see what the Pittsburgh Steelers will do next week. Will they play key players or will they rest them? That remains to be seen.

As for the Indianapolis Colts, if the Tennessee Titans (10-4) take down the Green Bay Packers (11-3) on Sunday night football, Tennessee will win the AFC South crown.

The next game for the Indianapolis Colts (10-5) will be against the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-14) at home next Sunday. Indianapolis needs a win and a ton of help in order to make it to the playoffs.

The next game for the Pittsburgh Steelers (12-3) will be against the Cleveland Browns (10-5) on the road next Sunday. Pittsburgh has a chance to knock out Cleveland from the playoffs entirely.
