Brooklyn Nets: How Can They Win the 2021 NBA Finals?

The NBA regular season starts this week and the Brooklyn Nets look promising to say the least.

The Eastern Conference has teams that could battle for a spot in the 2021 NBA Finals.

The Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, and Philadelphia 76ers are threats to the title hopes that the Nets could have.

How can the Nets win it all this season? Let’s dive into it.

Spread the Wealth

Obviously, fans will get excited over the lethal combination of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

However, you can’t forget about Joe Harris and Caris LeVert. Both players can put points on the stat sheet and therefore take some of the pressure off of KD and Kyrie.

Spencer Dinwiddie posted over 20 points per game last season and added roughly seven assists for Brooklyn.

As we’ve seen with many championship teams, it’s important to get role players involved during a big playoff run.

If the Nets can do that, especially with the players they have then it should help them reach the NBA Finals.

Clamp Down

Opponents can shoot the basketball and the Nets will need to be able to make key defensive stops.

KD and Kyrie each have been a part of championship teams in the past and understand the Nets will run through them. It helps if they make an impact on the defensive end of the floor and give Brooklyn that extra energy.

I’m not saying the Nets have to be perfect, but they need to clamp down when it matters most.

Finish Strong

The Brooklyn Nets get to play the Los Angeles Clippers(twice), Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks during the final month of the season.

It’s important for them to be clicking on all cylinders as they get closer to the postseason, assuming they make it there.

There are plenty of teams the Nets can beat up throughout the season and even in February.

If Brooklyn can defeat a few of these elite teams, then maybe this team will be even more ready for a serious run at the championship.

Final Thoughts

There’s a good possibility that the Nets will hit their stride and win a few playoff series this season.

I’m not ready to say Brooklyn is a title contender, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see them on the biggest stage.

It would certainly be fun to see KD and Kyrie up against the Lakers, Denver Nuggets, etc.

People want to know if KD still can play at an elite level.

They also want to know if Kyrie can win a title without LeBron James.

The New York area is hoping they can see a championship winner in basketball, even though it won’t be the New York Knicks.

A big question I have is how will the Nets play when Durant is leading the offense when Irving is on the bench? And vice versa.
