Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Three Game Studs vs the Minnesota Vikings

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers coming off the bye had a statement game today. They did what they needed to do in a 26-14 win. This game was important for both teams as they strive to make the playoffs. For the Buccaneers is to keep up with the New Orleans Saints. The Minnesota Vikings were at 6-6 and need a win to stay ahead of the Arizona Cardinals in the playoff picture. In many games, the team that wins the turnover battle wins the game in this game that was Tampa Bay. There was only one turnover and it was a strip sack-fumble. The Vikings had a great start in the game but where it hurt them was on the scoreboard. They did not take advantage of the chances that they have. The game just belonged to the Buccaneers on this day.

Tom Brady

Coming into this week the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback and his head coach according to the media were not doing well. Brady had a good game today he did not do one thing he had done 11 times this season. That threw an interception. Brady was 15/23 for 196 yards and two touchdowns. Those touchdown passes came from Scottie Miller and Rob Gronkowski. Coming off the bye week this was the type that the Buccaneers offense needed. The run game also had a good game they had 107 yards on the ground. That helps Tom Brady and the offense get back to where they were at the beginning of the season.

Scott Miller

Many are going to ask how I put him as a game stud. He only had one catch in the game. Miller was only targeted twice. The play that happened with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers trailing the Vikings by six points. Minnesota missed their extra point. Tom Brady looked and found Miller on a 48-yard bomb for the Tampa Bay first score. Miller played a big role in the Buccaneers offense earlier in the season. I believe he needs to have a bigger role in their remaining three games. That will be up to Bruce Arians and Byron Leftwich if we see plays like we did today for Miller.

Jason Pierre-Paul

Pierre-Paul has been a defensive stud since coming out of the University of South Florida. The reason I picked him today is that he has a strip sack at the end of the game to put the icing on the cake for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The defense has been called the reason why Tampa has lost some games recently. This defensive play help ends the Bucs’ two-game losing streak. They will need Pierre-Paul to do more like he has done all season. In the final three games look for him to be a big part and trying to win them all.

The bye week for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came at the right time. When the schedule came out earlier this year they did not like when it occurred. They made the plays when they need to make them. Tampa Bay currently sits at 8-5 and have three winnable games left on their schedule. The next two will both be on the road against the Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions. They will end the season at home against the Falcons. The Bucs will need games like this to get those three wins. I think they can and can have better games against their two remaining opponents.
