Kansas City Chiefs: Can They Maintain This High-Powered Attack?

The Kansas City Chiefs were in a marquee match-up on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon. Kansas City exploded for the game’s first 17 points thanks to Tyreek Hill‘s 75 and 44-yard touchdown receptions in a 27-24 win for Kansas City over Tampa Bay.

Hill is one of the fastest wide receivers in the NFL. He torched the Buccaneers defense all game long. In the first-quarter alone, Tyreek Hill caught seven passes for 203 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

His final stat line in this football game was 13 receptions for 269 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Hill also caught a 20-yard touchdown reception in the third-quarter from Patrick Mahomes.

Tyreek Hill also caught a key third down pass late in the game for Kansas City to seal the deal.

Hill is also very talented at his craft and he is one of the most non-talked about wide receivers in the NFL.

Tyreek Hill is the heartbeat of the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver group. He also has Sammy Watkins, Mecole Hardman Jr., Demarcus Robinson, and Byron Pringle in the same room. Along with having Travis Kelce at tight end.

Kelce caught eight passes for 82 yards receiving.

Patrick Mahomes completed 37-of-49 passes for 462 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 28 yards on four carries.

Mahomes had so much trust in Tyreek Hill in this football game. Hill also almost made history in this game as well.

Flipper Anderson has the record of 336 receiving yards in a single game for the Los Angeles Rams against the New Orleans Saints on November 26th, 1989.

I really thought that Hill was going to break his record easily in this game, but he didn’t wind up doing it. It is really hard to do. The Kansas City Chiefs also left way too many points on the football field and they could have scored over 40, 41, or 42 points if they wanted to.

Tyreek Hill and this receiving core could be lost without him. Hill can also return kickoffs and punts at any instant in a football game as well. He is one of the most dangerous wide receivers in the game and Hill is not talked about a lot.

Other than Travis Kelce, he is the second most trusted weapon on the Kansas City Chiefs. Head Coach Andy Reid and Offensive Coordinator Eric Bieniemy continue to get it done as well.

The Kansas City Chiefs hope to be back here in a couple of months for the Super Bowl on February 7th (Super Bowl LI), at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Kansas City is looking to go back-to-back for the first time since the 2003 and the 2004 New England Patriots.

The Kansas City Chiefs (10-1) next game will be against the Denver Broncos (4-7) next Sunday night. They are still chasing the Pittsburgh Steelers (10-0) for the number one seed. The Steelers will play the Baltimore Ravens (6-4) on Tuesday night.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-5) will be on a bye week in Week 13. Tampa Bay’s next game will be in Week 14 at home against the Minnesota Vikings (5-6).
