Tennessee Titans: Will They Win the AFC South?

The Tennessee Titans faced the Indianapolis Colts 16 days ago when Indianapolis took down Tennessee. This would be a different match up the second time around. The Titans scored 35 first-half points and they took down the Colts 45-26.

Tennessee set the tone on the first drive of the game by running the football with Derrick Henry. Indianapolis did not have DeForest Buckner on defense in this game due to being on the coronavirus list.

They missed his presence big time because Henry ran all over this defense. He rushed for 178 yards on 27 carries and three touchdowns. Derrick Henry also caught two passes for seven yards receiving as well.

This team is very physical at the point of attack week in and week out as well.

Derrick Henry is the heart and soul of this Tennessee Titans football team and club. The offensive identity always starts through him, and they are not usually one dimensional.

Ryan Tannehill also played well with completing 13-of-22 passes for 221 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for three yards on two carries and a touchdown.

A.J. Brown also caught four passes for 98 yards receiving and a touchdown. He also returned an onside kick 42 yards for a touchdown in the fourth-quarter to put the game out of reach.

Corey Davis also caught three passes for 70 yards receiving. He has played well as the second wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans this season.

Geoff Swaim caught three passes for 30 yards receiving.

The defense gave up two touchdowns on the first two possessions, but they adjusted big time.

The Tennessee Titans deserve a lot of credit for bouncing back lately because of Head Coach Mike Vrabel and Offensive Coordinator Arthur Smith.

They are now in the driver’s seat to win the AFC South for the first time since being the number one seed in the AFC in 2008.

Tennessee was in the AFC Championship Game last season and lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Titans are showing they can go back their this season and potentially be in the Super Bowl (LI) on February 7th, in Tampa Bay, Florida, at Raymond James Stadium.

This team needs to keep plugging and grinding away. They have one of the best offensive units in the NFL. If the defense can play just average, the Titans will be alright.

Tennessee will always punch you in the mouth for 60 minutes a game. It wears down opponents and they are one of the fiercest teams in the NFL as well.

They are currently the number three seed in the AFC despite having the same record as the Buffalo Bills (8-3), because Tennessee beat Buffalo and them earlier in the season.

The Tennessee Titans (8-3) next game will be against the Cleveland Browns (8-3) at home next Sunday.

The Indianapolis Colts (7-4) next game will be against the Houston Texans (4-7) next Sunday on the road.
