Fantasy Football: Week 12 Start ‘Em and Sit ‘Em
Welcome back fans of the NFL. Here we are back for another year of fantasy football. It is time to get those lineups set and chase down that money. That is if you are playing for money. Here at IroniqMedia, we do not bring you the heavy starters. You should not need any help starting those players. We bring you the players that you may have questions about starting or sitting. Thus, without further ado, here are your week twelve starts and sits.
Bye Week – None
Start: Daniel Jones – New York Giants
Jones and the Giants are improving. So much so that they have put themselves in the middle of the dreaded NFC East race. A win against the Cincinnati Bengals will go a long way. This matchup is why we suggest playing Daniel Jones. The Giants’ offense is starting to find its feet and the Bengals’ defense is not one that will stop them. Jones should have a big week!
Sit: Baker Mayfield – Cleveland Browns
Baker just is not scoring. It does not matter the matchup either. I am sitting him this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. There are better options to stream from week to week than Mayfield. The Browns running game is so good that they do not have to rely heavily on quality QB play.
Start: Josh Jacobs – Las Vegas Raiders
Jacobs and the Raiders’ offense is rolling. Heading down to Atlanta should keep that train rolling. The Falcons are struggling this season and a strong Raiders offense should keep that going. I like Jacobs this week to go over 100 yards and get at least 1 TD.
Sit: Jerick McKinnon – San Francisco 49ers
One, the Niners are playing the Los Angeles Rams. Two, they should also be getting Raheem Mostert back this week. The lead back for the 49ers will handle most of the duties for Kyle Shanahan. Thus, we are returning McKinnon to the bench.
Start: Nelson Agholor – Las Vegas Raiders
Agholor has found a home in Jon Gruden’s offense. He has not only become a reliable option for Derek Carr but also for your fantasy team. Agholor has averaged 13 fantasy PPG in five out of seven starts. This week against the Falcons could see that number go to six out of eight. The Falcons are friendly to wide receivers.
Sit: Keelan Cole – Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars are making another change at QB. Reports are that Mike Glennon will start in place of Jake Luton this week. Either way, I am not starting Cole against the Browns. Cole has not been a major factor for the Jags offense and the Browns will be sure it stays that way in week 12.
Start: Evan Engram – New York Giants
Double up with Engram and Jones this week. Their matchup with the Bengals is TE friendly. The defense of Cincinnati is allowing the 4th-most fantasy PPG to TEs in 2020. This makes Engram a good start for your fantasy team in week 12.
Sit: Jimmy Graham – Chicago Bears
Graham is not a good play this week at all. I have no confidence in him. The Bears matchup against the Packers is one that makes you scream. They are very tough on the position thus far this season. Couple that with the fact that the Bears do not use Graham properly in the red zone and you have the recipe for a fantasy sit.
Start: Washington Football Team
The last time Washington played the Dallas Cowboys their defense put up nearly 20 fantasy points. While I am not thinking they will be that successful, they should be good enough to start on your fantasy team in week 12. Washington will be a double-digit fantasy scorer on Thanksgiving Day.
Sit: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Two words – Patrick Mahomes! Do I need to say more? I mean they only scored four fantasy points on Monday night against Jared Goff. What makes you think they are going to do any better against a far better QB in Mahomes?
Offense: Antonio Gibson – Washington Football Team
You may have him in your lineup already. Nonetheless, if you do not, he is a solid stream this week. In the first matchup against the Cowboys Gibson had his first even 100-yard game. That could be the formula for success again this week for Washington. Put Gibson in your lineup before you take the turkey nap.
Defense: Seattle Seahawks
Yes, they have not been very good this season. However, their week 12 matchup will make them better. The O-Line of the Philadelphia Eagles gives QB sacks like Santa gives presents. The Seahawks defense should be a strong start this week.
There you have it; your week twelve fantasy starts and sits for the 2020 NFL Season. We are going to be here for 16 weeks. We hope to help you win some games during that time.
