NFL: AFC Wild Card Race Heating Up

This is the craziest wild card race in the AFC in years. With an extra playoff team being involved this season, it is going to be even more chaotic. Especially with the Baltimore Ravens losing 23-17 on Sunday night to the New England Patriots, the AFC Wild Card Race got ten times more interesting.

With Baltimore losing they are 6-3 this season. There are five other teams that are 6-3. The Cleveland Browns, the Las Vegas Raiders, the Tennessee Titans, the Miami Dolphins, and the Indianapolis Colts are also 6-3.

At the moment, Indianapolis is currently the fourth seed in the AFC because they defeated Tennessee 34-17 on Thursday night.

The fifth seed is Vegas, the sixth seed is Miami, and the seventh seed is Baltimore. The eighth seed is Tennessee and the ninth seed is Cleveland. A lot can change within the next couple of weeks due to playoff positioning.

Here are some of the key games moving forward.

Week 11

Tennessee vs Baltimore.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Las Vegas.

Week 12

Baltimore vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Tennessee vs Indy.

Week 13

Cleveland vs Tennessee.

Week 14

Kansas City vs Miami

Indy vs Las Vegas

Pittsburgh vs Buffalo

Baltimore vs Cleveland

Week 16

Indy vs Pittsburgh

Miami vs Las Vegas

Week 17

Pittsburgh vs Cleveland

Miami vs Buffalo

The Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills Game in Week 17 could potentially decide the AFC East.

This race to the finish isn’t going to be very easy at all. Had Baltimore won on Sunday night, then they would be 7-2 and not have to worry at all. The Ravens now have to worry and they are not the same team as they were last year with Lamar Jackson.

Tua Tagovailoa and Josh Allen will be the premiere quarterback duel in the AFC East for years to come.

The NFL Postseason is the heart and soul of the NFL Season. It is going to be one of the most unpredictable playoffs we have had in a long time due to the coronavirus situation.

The NFC Wild Card Race is also fun, but the AFC Wild Card Race is more fun to talk about because it feels more loaded than it may seem. We thought it was going to be the Kansas City Chiefs and then everybody else this season, but a lot of the teams feel like they can take them down.

Folks, the New England Patriots (4-5) will not make it to the playoffs. They’ll probably fall off a cliff at some point. Pittsburgh and Kansas City are the top two teams in the AFC at the moment but after that, it is anybody’s game and this is going to be one crazy ride to the finish line.

At the end of the day, the potential seven playoff teams will be the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills, the Tennessee Titans, the Miami Dolphins, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Cleveland Browns and the Indianapolis Colts will just miss it but we will see how correct I am here in this case here.
