Fantasy Football: Week 10 Start ‘Em and Sit ‘Em

Welcome back fans of the NFL. Here we are back for another year of fantasy football. It is time to get those lineups set and chase down that money. That is if you are playing for money. Here at IroniqMedia, we do not bring you the heavy starters. You should not need any help starting those players. We bring you the players that you may have questions starting or sitting. Thus, without further ado, here are your week ten starts and sits.

Bye Week – Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers

Quarterbacks

Start: Jared Goff – Los Angeles Rams

Goff has a solid fantasy matchup against the Seattle Seahawks in week ten. However, many may be afraid to start Goff after his pre-bye week performances. He had less than 20 points in three consecutive weeks prior to the Rams bye week. While Seattle is solid on offense, the defense can use some help. That is why we are choosing to play Jared Goff in Week 10.

Sit: Joe Burrow – Cincinnati Bengals

Burrow has been an amazing rookie. He certainly has a step on the rest of the competition for Rookie of the Year. Nonetheless, he has a horrible matchup this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Especially traveling to Heinz Field. While he is going to chuck it around the field, that will lead to more trouble. With the ability of the Steelers defense, this makes me stay away from Burrow in my week ten fantasy lineup.

Running Backs

Start: J.D. McKissic – Washington Football Team

McKissic is a solid RB2/Flex in week ten. His fantasy matchup against the Detroit Lions is very favorable. The Lions give up the most FPPG to RBs on the season. They are currently ranked  30th in the league against the run. That should play highly into a solid output for McKissic. Given this matchup, I would play the Washington RB with confidence.

Sit: DeeJay Dallas – Seattle Seahawks

Dallas is just not a good name in the NFL this season. Both the team and this player. DeeJay had high expectations going into last week’s matchup against the Buffalo Bills. However, he disappointed. While he did get into the end zone, the rest of the performance did not give us any chills. The pending return of Chris Carson and/or the loss of snaps to Travis Homer makes Dallas a dud.

Wide Receiver

Start: Jerry Jeudy – Denver Broncos

Jeudy broke out last week against the Atlanta Falcons. he took advantage of his 14 targets by completing seven of them for 125 yards and one TD. It looks like he and Drew Lock are starting to find their rhythm. Jeudy has another solid fantasy matchup in week ten against the Las Vegas Raiders who have a very friendly secondary.

Sit: Marquise Brown – Baltimore Ravens

Brown is on a downward fantasy spiral. He has seen less than 10 points in each of his last three games. That trend is why I am staying away from the young Ravens receiver. The tendency to get him the ball consistently is not happening in Baltimore. While I feel he is due, this may not be the week. Stay away from Brown on your fantasy team this week.

Tight End

Start: T.J. Hockenson – Detroit Lions

Hockenson has seen an increase in targets with WR Kenny Golladay being out. Last week he had five catches. One of those catches resulted in a TD. Look for another solid performance in week ten from the young TE. He has a fantasy matchup against Washington who struggles to cover big TEs. That plays in your favor for getting “Hock” in your lineup.

Sit: Mike Gesicki – Miami Dolphins

Gesicki is a big TE with underperforming tendencies. Here is a player who, coming out of college, drew rave reviews. Those reviews have not come to light down in Miami. I would keep Big Mike on my fantasy bench this week against the Los Angeles Chargers. Especially since he has not scored a TD since week three.

Defense

Start: New Orleans Saints

The Saints draw a very favorable week ten matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Now, when the season started, this was probably a game we were looking forward to. It was probably a preview of the NFC Championship game. Nevertheless, that is not the case. The Saints draw Nick Mullens. While he has been decent, he is not a starter. The Saints feast for your fantasy team this week.

Sit: Buffalo Bills

The Bills secondary covers very well. That does not bode well for the Arizona Cardinals WRs. However, a mobile QB like Kyler Murray could give them some troubles again this week. Russell Wilson gave them fits at times last week. Thus, my gut is telling me to sit them on my fantasy bench in week ten in Arizona.

Sleepers

Offense: Noah Fant – Denver Broncos

Fant has been struggling at times this season. He has played through a high ankle sprain this year. He briefly left the game last week after aggravating that ankle injury. He did eventually return. Look for another solid fantasy output this week against the Las Vegas Raiders who are allowing the third-most FPPG to TEs in recent weeks.

Defense: Green Bay Packers

While the Packers have not been a big fantasy scoring team this season, week ten could be different. James Robinson will probably have a big game. Although, my feeling here is that the Packers do not give up many points this week to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Therefore, if you are not in a league that counts yardage, stream the Green Back Packers on your fantasy team.

There you have it; your week ten fantasy starts and sits for the 2020 NFL Season. We are going to be here for 16 weeks. Our hope is to help you win some games during that time.
