Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New Orleans Saints: Three Game Studs
This was supposed to be a revenge game for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Instead what happened was a blow out by the New Orleans Saints. The Saints won 31-3 and kept the Buccaneers on their toes all night long. This was a battle for the first place that now belongs to the Saints. Eight weeks ago these two teams met in week one and it was a similar result. It was great to see two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks. Both Drew Brees and Tom Brady will be in Canton. Combined seven Super Bowls win between the two. It seems that no matter what Tampa Bay does they cannot beat New Orleans. The question now is what happens if these two teams meet in the playoffs? It will mean a lot more than it does now. Despite the result, there were still some exciting moments in last night’s game.
Brees and Brady have gone back and forth on who throws the most touchdown passes. Brees threw four last night to Brady zero. He finished the game 26/32 for 222 yards. Brees just has a way with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has some of the best games against them no matter if the game takes place in New Orleans or like it was last night in Tampa. His offensive line protected him which gave him time to distribute the ball to over nine different receivers. Many believe that this is his last season and he shined in certain games.
Hill is a player that many defenses have no answer for. He showed that last night in more than a few ways. Hill was 2/2 passing for 48 yards and had seven carries for 54 yards. The longest carry was for 23 yards was a big play that extended a drive for the Saints. Hill was smiling most of the night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There is a reason why the Saints extended him and named him the backup quarterback. When he is in the game Drew Brees is a wide receiver. He is a player that everyone will have to watch out for the rest of the season.
Kamara is one of the main weapons for the Saints offense. He is one of the premier running backs in the NFL. Kamara had nine carries for 40 yards. Like Taysom Hill he makes big plays in the offense. He had one of the five touchdowns the Saints had against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was the only rushing touchdowns the other four came through the air. Tampa Bay will have to do a better job against the Saints offense if they meet again. Kamara has been hard to stop for most teams the Bucs seem to struggle against him.
This game was a beat down. At least in week one, the game was close at some moments. Last night’s game was never close to the New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs will have to make some major adjustments if they run into New Orleans again in the playoffs. The Saints had the Bucs on their toes all night. Tom Brady did not have the greatest of games he threw three interceptions. Antonio Brown did not have the best first game with Tampa Bay. Bucs fans woke up with a bad taste in their stomachs this morning.
