Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Looking Ahead to the New Orleans Saints

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers did something that has only done once before. For just the second time since the franchise started, they started the season with a 6-2 record. The last time they did that they won the Super Bowl. It happened just a few nights ago against the New York Giants. A game that many thought they would dominate. The Giants had something to say about that. It came down to a missed two-point conversation. The New York defense frustrated the Buccaneers offense in the first half. Daniel Jones two interceptions cost the Giants back to back wins against Tampa Bay. Last year the Bucs lost on missing field goals. Tampa Bay will be looking for revenge this upcoming week against the New Orleans Saints. The same Saints that spoiled Brady’s debut. I think that they have may have overlooked the Giants for this week.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints come into this game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a four-game winning streak. Two of those victories have come in overtime. The latest one was just this past Sunday against the Chicago Bears. The same Bears that are the only other loss the Buccaneers have this year. The last four have all been close games. This is all without Michael Thomas who has both on the field injuries and off the field issues. This New Orleans team will be playing for first place in the NFC South. They better prepare for a much different Bucs team they played in week one. I do not think that they were looking ahead because the Bears are a team that could see in the playoffs. It will take a better effort than they had against Chicago. Will Brees beat Tom Brady again?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on top of the NFC South. They have a record of 6-2. The Bucs are coming into this game on a three-game winning streak. Two of those were dominating wins. They came against the Green Bay Packers and Las Vegas Raiders. Tom Brady and the offense are getting on the same page. By the way, they will be adding Antonio Brown. Another weapon to an already great offense. Brown was brought in because of the nagging injuries to Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Brown also is remarkably close to Brady. The question is how long before he misbehaves and gets kicked off the team? The defense has been great with the front seven and that is without Vita Vea who is out for the rest of the season. Look for Devon White and company to stop Drew Brees and the Saints.

This game will much different than the week one matchup. With all the new players the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had and no offseason it was going to be hard. I think the Buccaneers are out for blood. This game is important for both teams because it will put the Bucs further in the first place and the Saints tied for it and they would have an advantage. The advantage would be the head to head matchup. New Orleans defense will have its hands full with all of the weapons the Bucs now have. Is revenge best-served cold?
