Florida Gators: A Peek Ahead vs Georgia Bulldogs
The Florida Gators have a very important game coming up this Saturday. Their opponent will be the Georgia Bulldogs. This game is titled the biggest outdoor cocktail party. This is one of the very few rivalry college football games that take place in a neutral location. It will take place in Jacksonville with a 3:30 PM kickoff. This is a rival game for both despite what many say. Each team has an in-state rival. This will probably determine the SEC East participant in the SEC title game. The Bulldogs have won the last three years. Georgia also holds the series lead overall. This game should be close because of how the teams are playing this year. Both teams come into the game with a loss the Gators to the Texas AM Aggies and Bulldogs to the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Tide once again be in the SEC Championship game.
The Bulldogs have one of the top defense in the country. They are coming into the game with a 14-3 win over the Kentucky Wildcats. Their other three wins came against the Arkansas Razorbacks, Tennessee Volunteers, and Auburn Tigers. The two bigger wins came against the Tigers and Volunteers. Kirby Smart has done very well since becoming a coach. Georgia has been close to a national championship. A few years ago they lost to the Alabama Crimson Tide. This game is big for them after this many will say they will not lose in the final four games. The Bulldogs could once again take the Florida Gators out of the SEC Championship and a college football playoff spot. It could go the opposite as well if they lose. I have a good friend that is a huge Georgia fan and it will be watching the game with him.
The Gators have had a game canceled because of Covid-19. Last week against the Missouri Tigers there was a brawl just before halftime starting. This week they will have two players that will be out. Despite all of that they still beat the Tigers 41-17. Their only loss was to Texas AM on a game-winning field goal. As a Gators fan myself this one of the games I looked forward to every year. The Florida Gators have been winning with one of the best offenses in the country. The Kyle to Kyle connection has been big. For ones that do not know who that is they are Kyle Trask and Kyle Pitts. Trask is the quarterback and Pitts is a tight end. Look for them to play a huge role against the Georgia Bulldogs. This will be one of the classic games between these two teams.
This game will come down to the team that makes the least amount of mistakes. In mistakes turnovers and penalties. The team that does that will be the winner of the game. That will also put them in the driver seat in the SEC East. The Georgia Bulldogs will use their defense to control the game. On the flip side, the Florida Gators will use the offense to stay ahead. Florida will try and end Georgia’s winning streak. I think it is cool that it is Jacksonville. Most of the time there are a ton of fans for both teams but with Covid-19 it will not be the same.
