Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Are They the Best Team in the NFC?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were involved in a potential trap game on the road against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. Tampa Bay was down by as many as 11 points in the game and found a way to take down New York 25-23.

Antoine Winfield Jr. made the play of the game on a 2-point conversion. There was a flag at first, but the refs decided to let it go. Winfield Jr. deflected the pass on Dion Lewis. Are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the best team in the NFC at the moment and right now though?

I honestly think this is a tough question. The Seattle Seahawks (6-1) are the current number one seed. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the number two seed at the moment. They would face the Los Angeles Rams (5-3) in the first round of the playoffs if the season ended today.

Tampa Bay has a legitimate shot at the number one seed in the NFC, but the NFC is tough. The Green Bay Packers (5-2) are currently the number three seed in the NFC.

The New Orleans Saints (5-2) are currently the number five seed in the NFC and they would probably smash the Philadelphia Eagles (3-4-1) in the playoffs.

New Orleans took down Tampa Bay in Week 1. They are going to be playing each other again this Sunday night at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Tom Brady was sacked a few times last night, but he did just enough to win the football game.

He is the heartbeat of this football team. The culture changed immediately inside the building when he arrived.

Brady completed 28-of-40 passes for 279 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for -1 yards on one carry.

Leonard Fournette rushed for 52 yards on 15 carries. He also caught three passes for 19 yards receiving though.

Mike Evans caught five passes for 55 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Rob Gronkowski caught four passes for 41 yards receiving and a touchdown.

This team was missing Chris Godwin at wide receiver last night. They will also be adding Antonio Brown to the mix as well. Tyler Johnson, Ronald Jones II, Jayden Mickens, Scotty Miller, and Cameron Brate are some of the other offensive weapons on this football team though.

They lost tight end O.J. Howard for the season on the offensive side of the ball and they also lost defensive tackle Vita Vea for the season.

This is one of the most underrated defenses in the NFL led by Todd Bowles (defensive coordinator).

Byron Leftwich is the offensive coordinator and Bruce Arians is a tough-minded head coach.

Jason Licht is a solid general manager for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Devin White and Lavonte David lead this defense at the linebacking group and core though.

For now, this team is the best in the NFC despite being the number two seed in the NFC. If they lose again to the New Orleans Saints, we may have to reconsider them being serious Super Bowl contenders and Super Bowl LI will be on February 7, at Raymond James Stadium, in Tampa Bay, Florida, though.
