Tampa Bay Buccaneers: A Peek Inside the Las Vegas Raiders
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers sit on top of the NFC South. Their record is 4-2. This past week they beat the Green Bay Packers who were favored to win. This team, in my opinion, is coming together and look like a force. Coming into the season there were questions as every team has when it starts. The two losses that Tampa Bay has have come against the New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears. The last time the Buccaneers played in a primetime game they lost. This week they will be on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders. If Tampa Bay plays as they did against the Packers they will have no problem against the Raiders. The defense made many great plays with turnovers and sacks. The offense scored points when they had the ball and showed they are a more balanced offense.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers dominated the Green Bay Packers. The Packers jump out to a 10 point lead and then the bottom fell out. The defense caused two turnovers both interceptions. One of those resulted in a pick-six. The other one was close to being the same result but it led to points shortly after it occurred. They also had five sacks that resulted in 53 yards lost for Green Bay. The Packers had 201 yards of total offense with probably one of the best quarterbacks in the league at the helm. The offense did their job as well having 324 total yards. Tom Brady threw for two and Ronald Jones rushed for two. This was the third straight game that Jones rushed for 100 plus yards. It was also good to see Rob Gronkowski being involved in the offense. Look for them to do the same on Sunday night.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders come into this week off of a bye week. In the last game, they played they defeated the defending Super Bowl Champions Kansas City Chiefs. The final score in that game was 40-36. Their record is currently 3-2. The only team that they trail record-wise in the division in the Chiefs. The Raiders like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a balanced style offense. In the game against Kansas City Derek Carr threw for three touchdowns and Josh Jacobs ran for two. Their defense held Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense to just 412 total yards. The Raiders also had one interception which is rare with Mahomes. Look for them to bring the same against Brady and company. On the flip side, Derek Carr will also have to watch as the defense likes to blitz.
This game will be at 8:20 PM EST from S0Fi Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. This will be the second primetime game for both teams. The Las Vegas Raiders played the New Orleans Saints in week two. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers played the Chicago Bears on Thursday night just two weeks ago. This will be a game that I believe will go back and forth. The team that wins this game will have won the turnover battle. Both teams are coming off big wins. The Raiders had the extra week to rest but the Buccaneers dominated the Packers. I will be watching on Sunday night.
