USF Bulls: A Look Ahead to the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes

The USF Bulls have fallen to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the conference. This past week they fell, on the road, to the Temple Owls. This was coming off of a loss to the ECU Pirates for their homecoming game. All season it has been one facet that does not play an entire game. Against the Pirates, it was the defense that had a horrible game. In this game, it looks like Coach Jeff Scott decided that Jordan McCloud is going to be the starting quarterback. This was not a bad game at all it just the Bulls came out on the short end. USF for the first time scored in all four quarters. Hopefully, this is a game that they can build on as they welcome the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes this Friday night. They need a win to get back on track.

Tulsa Golden Hurricanes

The Golden Hurricanes are currently 1-1 they had two games postponed. Their win came against the team that considers themselves the best team in the state of Florida the UCF Knights. The final score was 36-24. They won the game despite having less total yards than the Knights. The Hurricanes offense was led by their rushing game. In the game, they had 165 yards on 44 attempts. Each team had two turnovers but in the end, what ended up helping Tulsa was that UCF had more penalty yards they are undisciplined. This was a big win for the Golden Hurricanes. This week they travel down to Tampa to play the other Florida team in the USF Bulls. They didn’t have a game last week against the Cincinnati Bearcats who beat up the Bulls two weeks ago. Let’s see how the extra rest will help or hurt them against USF Bulls.

USF Bulls

The USF Bulls have lost three games in a row. The Bulls have also had one game postponed due to coronavirus. This past week they played what might have been their first real game despite their win against Citadel. This was the first time they did not have trouble scoring. Had they made a two-point conversation at the end of the game there may have been a different result. We are hoping that Jordan McCloud is the starting quarterback moving forward. The running game led by Johnny Ford has still been a bright spot for the Bulls all season. This will be the second game that there will be fans in the stands at Raymond James Stadium. It will a night game and the last time that happens they won. The Bulls should use the footage to help win against the Golden Hurricanes.

The Golden Hurricanes will now have their third game of the season. They are coming off a big win against the UCF Knights. It would have been interesting to see them playing the Cincinnati Bearcats. They come down to play the USF Bulls who are on a three-game losing streak. The Bulls had a good football game in a loss against the Temple Owls. This game should be a good one. I am hoping to be there in person. I love watching night games and this one will be kicking off at 7:30 PM EST. The Hurricanes have had two weeks of rest so will that hurt or help them. The Bulls should be able to bounce back and hopefully get a win this week on Friday night.
