Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Three Studs vs Los Angeles Chargers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got into a dog fight today with the Los Angeles Chargers. Tampa Bay was coming off a win over the Denver Broncos. This was the first game of 2020 that their fans in the stands at Raymond James Stadium. This was the type of game as a football fan you would be excited to be watching it live. The two stars were at the quarterback position with Tom Brady the GOAT and the rookie Justin Hebert. Hebert was picked number five in the 2020 NFL Draft. Since week two when he replaced injured quarterback Tyrod Taylor he has shined. Brady on the other hand is starting to become more comfortable with his offense. He threw passes and completed them to 10 different players. There is fear that O.J. Howard might be out for the season. This was a good game for both no matter who won.

Bucs Offensive Line

This was the first game on the 2020 season that Tom Brady was not sacked. When your quarterback has time to make decisions than it will be easier to win games. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers now have a veteran quarterback with little mobility. It has been great to see first-round pick Tristan Wirfs doing what he did in college at Iowa. They opened holes for Ronald Jones, LeSean McCoy, and Ke’Shawn Vaughn. Jones ran for 111 yards of 115 that Tampa Bay had on the day. It also helped Brady have a great day.

Tom Brady

Therefore, all the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans were excited when Tom Brady decided to come to play in Tampa. The offense had been a question mark over the first couple of weeks. The last two the offense has been better. Brady went 30/46 for 369 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. The only mistake that I saw today was the pick-six interception. To see him throw to 10 different players. The five touchdown passes went to Cameron Brate, Ke’ Shawn Vaughn, O.J. Howard, Scotty Miller, and Mike Evans. Brady and Evans are starting to be more comfortable with each other. Let us hope that moving to Thursday night this can continue.

Justin Hebert

Hebert had success against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense secondary. He went 20/25 for 290 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Hebert interception did not come till late in the game as the Chargers were driving down to tie the game. He hit Jalen Guyton on a 72-yard touchdown pass. Like I mentioned earlier many of the experts have said the like him from what he has shown. Hebert has been the bright spot and Los Angeles should be 2-2 and not 1-3 now. Another big passing play was to Tryon Johnson who had a 53-yard catch for a touchdown. Look for Hebert to get better and in hopes that Chargers can get more wins.

The final score of today’s game was 38-31. It was a back and forth contest. Both teams will have the tape that they will build off and tape that they will want to forget. For the Los Angeles Chargers, the defense made some stands today. The offense continues to flourish under Hebert which will lead to more wins. As for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the defense had its lapses today but came on strong in the end with a Ndamukong Suh caused a fumble. The offense is starting to find out they identify and that is bad news for the rest of the league. The Buccaneers will be on a short week as they travel to play the Chicago Bears.
