Tampa Bay Buccaneers: A Sneak Peek vs Los Angeles Chargers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have won two games in a row. They are on top of the NFC South. Last week they went on the road to play the Denver Broncos. Before the game started the Broncos were the only team that had a winning record against Tom Brady. Brady and Mike Evans got even closer connecting on two receptions both short yardage and both for touchdowns. The Broncos were shorthanded on offense and defense. The Buccaneer defense pummeled the Broncos. They had many sacks and caused turnovers. Tampa Bay got back Chris Godwin after he cleared concussion protocol. He came back and was the one who caught the first touchdown pass of the game. Shaq Barrett returned to Denver after the Broncos let him walk. He had a good game in his return. Tampa Bay returns home and will have fans in the stands as they welcome the Los Angeles Chargers.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers are 1-2 but should be 2-1. The loss to the Carolina Panthers hurt them. Rookie quarterback Justin Hebert has been good since becoming the starter in week two. Los Angeles has been the only team that has come close to beating the Kansas City Chiefs. Hebert has thrown for 300 plus yards in both games he has started. He used all his weapons like Keenan Allen. Allen was upset that both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin were ahead of him when the NFL did their annual top 100 players. Hebert can also run as he showed while at Oregon University. The defense will have to deal with Tom Brady this week. The offense has an uphill battle against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense. A defense that has a great front seven that will keep most offense at bay.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are starting to look like the team that many thought they would be. The offense is starting to get on the same page. This week they will be short as Chris Godwin and Leonard Fournette are unable to play due to injury. Scottie Miller is also banged up and his status is still unknown. This will give a chance for Ronald Jones to show all the work he did during the offseason to shine through. On defense well it was great last week. The Broncos were short-handed, but they still took out their will on them. Justin Hebert will be a test but one that I believe they can handle. The Chargers are a team that can surprise you, so the Bucs need to stay solid. Tampa Bay will be excited to have fans in the stand at Raymond James Stadium.
Both teams in this game are solid. I know that the Los Angeles Chargers are 1-2 but they could be 3-0. Justin Hebert is an up and coming quarterback with massive potential. The offense will have to stay away from turnovers if they are going to win the game. The defense will have a tall order because Brady and company are starting to get better. For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it is simple to do what they did last week. The offense is starting to click look for Rob Gronkowski to get more receptions. Also, look for O.J. Howard to have a big game. This is also time for Ronald Jones to step up. With Fournette out he can show why he still deserves to be the number one running back. On defense well just stay solid and keep Hebert on his toes and they will have no problem.
