Kansas City Chiefs: Which Teams Can Beat the Super Bowl Champs?

The Kansas City Chiefs played the Baltimore Ravens at M & T Bank Stadium on Monday night in Baltimore, Maryland. Everyone thinks this is going to be the AFC Championship Game this season, but people may want to reconsider it after Kansas City dominated Baltimore 34-20.

The game wasn’t even that close as Patrick Mahomes outplayed Lamar Jackson once again. Jackson said after the game that the Kansas City Chiefs did things on defense like the Tennessee Titans did to them in the playoffs last season.

He also mentioned they are the krypotonite. The Baltimore Ravens don’t belong on the same field as the Kansas City Chiefs because of Lamar Jackson.

There is no way I trust him in big spots and they will make the playoffs and choke again because of him. The team is good enough to win, but Lamar Jackson will be holding him back. The MVP my rear end on this one.

So the question is, which teams in the AFC could beat the Kansas City Chiefs and why?

Tennessee Titans

The first team that comes to mind is the Tennessee Titans (3-0). Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry are one of the best quarterback-running back combinations in the NFL. Mike Vrabel has a very good head coach and they can score points in bunches. They have a good enough defense to limit the big play.

Tennessee was also in the AFC Championship Game last season and were a couple of plays away from knocking them off. They look poised to make another deep postseason run in 2020.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The second team that comes to mind is the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-0). It appears as if Ben Roethlisberger is healthy enough. They have four legit wide receivers in Chase Claypool, JuJu Smith-Schuster, James Washington, and Dionate Johnson.

James Conner is having a bounce back season running the football. Benny Snell Jr. is also a solid running back in the backfield for Pittsburgh.

The Steelers are a veteran team. They are well coached by Mike Tomlin. They also have a ferocious defensive front lead by J.J. Watt, Cameron Heyward, and Bud Dupree.

Buffalo Bills

The third team that comes to mind is the Buffalo Bills (3-0). Buffalo will be playing the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night football in Week 6 in Buffalo, New York.

Josh Allen appears to be an MVP candidate and they are very underrated on the defensive side of the ball. They are well coached by Sean McDermott and the Allen and Stefon Diggs connection seems to be on point. Buffalo appears to be taking the next step though.

It is very possible that the Kansas City Chiefs go 16-0. However, it is very hard and difficult to do so.

Patrick Mahomes completed 31-of-42 passes for 385 yards passing and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 26 yards on four carries and a touchdown.

Mahomes is the heartbeat and the heart and soul of this football team. He is probably the best quarterback in the NFL.

Lamar Jackson completed 15-of-28 passes for 97 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for 83 yards on nine carries.

Jackson is 0-3 against Mahomes all time. He doesn’t belong in the same category as him nor Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, and Deshaun Watson.

The Baltimore Ravens will get the same results against the Kansas City Chiefs. If Baltimore continues to falter in big games with Lamar Jackson, they may have to look elsewhere.

Jackson is 23 years old.

Mahomes is 25 years old.

The Baltimore Ravens will not be the favorites to beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason.

Obviously Kansas City will be the favorites to make it to the Super Bowl once again, but keep an eye on the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Tennessee Titans, and the Buffalo Bills though to knock off Kansas City though.
