MLB Postseason Began on Tuesday

The MLB has found a way to get the regular season completed. It looked very bleak to get one week of baseball finished after the Miami Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals had outbreaks of the coronavirus. However, their were fears that the season would be cancelled, but we are now here in the MLB postseason though.

It all began on Tuesday. This will be the best-of-3 Wild Card Series with all of the games being at the higher seeds. Eight teams from each league made it to the playoffs. Fourteen teams are already preparing for the 2021 season and 16 have a chance to win the World Series though.

After this series, the rest of the postseason will be in the bubble and the World Series is expected to begin on Tuesday October 20th at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

The series and my picks for the AL Wild Card Round: (8) Toronto Blue Jays vs (1) Tampa Bay Rays. My pick: Tampa Bay Rays. (7) Chicago White Sox vs (2) Oakland Athletics. My pick: Oakland Athletics. (6) Houston Astros vs (3)Minnesota Twins. My pick: Minnesota Twins. (5) New York Yankees vs (4) Cleveland Indians. My pick: Cleveland Indians.

NL Wild Card Round: (8) Milwaukee Brewers vs (1) Los Angeles Dodgers. My pick: Los Angeles Dodgers. (7) Cincinnati Reds vs (2) Atlanta Braves. The pick: Atlanta Braves. (6) Miami Marlins vs (3) Chicago Cubs. The pick: Chicago Cubs. (5) St. Louis Cardinals vs (4) San Diego Padres: The pick: St. Louis Cardinals.

This is going to be one of the most unpredictable playoffs in a long time. Their will be no reseeding in these games. All winners will be bracketed though and this is the smart choice though. It is going to be interesting and the Washington Nationals won the World Series in seven games against the Houston Astros in 2019.

Washington isn’t even in the playoffs this season and it isn’t a surprise that teams miss the playoffs the following season when winning the World Series the previous season though. The last time this happened was when the Kansas City Royals won the World Series in 2015 in five games against the New York Mets and then missed the playoffs in 2016 though.

The MLB Postseason is the heart and soul of the MLB season. There will be an abundance of star power.

One star player on each team: Toronto Blue Jays: Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Chicago White Sox: Tim Anderson, Houston Astros: Alex Bregman, New York Yankees: Gerrit Cole, Cleveland Indians: Shane Bieber, Minnesota Twins: Nelson Cruz, Oakland Athletics: Matt Olson, Tampa Bay Rays: Blake Snell, Milwaukee Brewers: Christian Yelich, Cincinnati Reds: Nicholas Castellanos, Miami Marlins: Miguel Rojas, St. Louis Cardinals: Paul Goldschmidt, San Diego Padres: Fernando Tatis Jr., Chicago Cubs: Kris Bryant, Atlanta Braves: Ronald Acuna Jr., and Los Angeles Dodgers: Cody Bellinger though.

We will see what happens though. The first game of the postseason will begin on Tuesday at 2:08 p.m. Eastern on ABC when the Houston Astros take on the Minnesota Twins at Target Field, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The team that wins two games first in the best-of-three series advances though.
