Tampa Bay Buccaneers: A Peek Towards the Denver Broncos

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got their first win last week. It was also their home opener as they took on the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers are another division foe. It would be hard to win the division starting 0-2 within the division. The biggest concern was comments made by head coach Bruce Arians about Tom Brady after week one. That was all solved because the offense is making progress. The best advancement was between Brady and Mike Evans. The two hooked up multiple times including a touchdown. The defense was huge as well. They forced four turnovers that help the offense put up points early in the game. This will be the second home game for Tampa Bay. It will be the same time as the first a 4:25 PM kickoff. It will be in the mile-high city of Denver. The Broncos will be waiting.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers will take a team that is still finding its identity. The offense took a step forward last week. They will now be getting back Chris Godwin after he cleared the concussion protocol. Leonard Fournette is making a statement to be the starter over Ronald Jones. Currently, they are stick with Jones because of two reasons one Fournette is not quite up to par with the offense, and two are his injuries. The biggest question that has been asked to Arians over this past week is how Rob Gronkowski will get some receptions. Arians answered that his offense is not set up to throw to the tight ends that often. The defense will be ready to face a team that will be starting a backup quarterback. Shaq Barrett will be returning to his old stomping grounds. Hopefully, he gets some sacks like he did last year.

Denver Broncos

The Broncos have been hit by injuries. I would have to say the biggest is Von Miller. Miller was hurt during offseason drills. Drew Lock, their starting quarterback, will be out a least four to six weeks with a shoulder injury. In their first two games have both been close they have not lost by more than five points. What that tells me is that even with a shorten lineup they are still a decent team. On paper, many will say the Buccaneers should win hands down. The Broncos will be looking to get their first win. They have a history with Tom Brady because of Peyton Manning. Look for them to try and move the ball on offense and attack the young secondary of the Bucs. On defense, they will be getting an offense that might be catching its groove.

The game will be an afternoon kickoff after 4 PM. The air is thin so that we favor the Broncos. The Buccaneers will be looking for their first road win of 2020. Look for them to come out and run the ball while also throwing the ball to Chris Godwin. The Broncos and Jeff Driskel will have to find a way to score points on offense. If the Tampa front seven can apply pressure it is going to be a long game. The Broncos will try and keep it close as they did against the Tennessee Titans and Pittsburg Steelers. Let us see who comes out on top.
