Seattle Seahawks: Russell Wilson Sparks Hawks in Win

The Seattle Seahawks survived a Sunday night football game on a 1-yard stop by their defense against Cam Newton and the New England Patriots on the final play of the game. Seattle won the game over New England 35-30 thanks to the play of Russell Wilson at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington.

Wilson was once again spectacular for Seattle from the start of the game until the end of the game. Russell Wilson is one of the reasons why the Seahawks are one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl this season. Without him, they would be one of the worst teams in the NFL.

Wilson completed 21-of-28 passes for 288 yards passing five touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed for 39 yards on five carries.

His interception came in the first quarter and it was right off a wide receiver’s hands. It came on the first drive of the game and Devin McCourty returned it 43 yards for a touchdown.

Other than that, Russell Wilson was spectacular. He threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Lockett in the first quarter, a 54-yard touchdown pass to D.K. Metcalf in the second quarter, a 38-yard touchdown pass to David Moore in the third quarter, a 21-yard touchdown pass to Freddie Swain in the third quarter, and an 18-yard touchdown pass to Chris Carson in the fourth-quarter.

Russell Wilson is the heart and soul of this football team. Wilson is always magical whenever his team and number is called upon.

Chris Carson rushed for 72 yards on 17 carries. He also caught three passes for 36 yards receiving and a touchdown.

D.K. Metcalf caught four passes for 92 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Tyler Lockett caught seven passes for 67 yards receiving and a touchdown.

David Moore caught three passes for 49 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Freddie Swain caught one pass for 21 yards receiving.

Carlos Hyde caught two passes for 15 yards receiving. He rushed for 22 yards on five carries.

As long as Russell Wilson is the starting quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks, this team will go places. If he ever gets hurt, they are finished.

The Seattle Seahawks will also have to worry about the Arizona Cardinals (2-0), the Los Angeles Rams (2-0), and the San Francisco 49ers (1-1) in the NFC West though. It is very possible that Seattle could be one of either two, three, or four teams that make it to the playoffs from the NFC West and it might be the best division in the NFL and football and it isn’t even close though.

Wilson could very well win MVP this season for the first time in his illustrious career though.

The New England Patriots (1-1) will face the Las Vegas Raiders (1-0) next Sunday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The Seattle Seahawks (2-0) will host the Dallas Cowboys (1-1) next Sunday.
