Green Bay Packers: Is Aaron Rodgers Primed to Prove Everyone Wrong?

Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers heard all offseason that he was washed up and finished. They drafted quarterback Jordan Love out of Utah State with the 26th overall pick and he was third on the depth chart. Rodgers put on a show in a 43-34 win on the road at U.S. Bank Stadium over the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Aaron Rodgers was slinging it out there in this game. He completed 32-of-44 of his passes for 364 yards passing and four touchdowns. Rodgers rushed for two yards on one carry.

Aaron Rodgers has been clutch time and time again though. He is the heart and soul of this football team. Rodgers could maybe win another MVP this season if he plays like this all season long though nonetheless.

Aaron Rodgers threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Davante Adams in the second-quarter and also a 45-yard touchdown pass to Marquez Valdes-Scantling in the second-quarter.

They had a 22-10 lead at halftime.

Rodgers threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Davante Adams in the third-quarter for them to go up 29-10.

He threw one more touchdown pass in the fourth-quarter to Allen Lazard from four yards out.

Davante AdamsDavante AdamsDavante Adams finished the game with 14 receptions for 156 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Adams is becoming one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and also in the game though. If he continues to play at a high level and so does other wide receivers, they will be tough to stop and this offense will be one of the best in the NFL this season though.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling finished the game with four receptions for 93 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Allen Lazard caught four passes for 63 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Aaron Jones finished the game with 66 yards rushing on 16 carries and a touchdown. He also caught four passes for 10 yards receiving though.

This offense could be scary this season with Matt LaFleur at head coach if Aaron Rodgers is going to play like this. They have not won the Super Bowl since Super Bowl XLV against the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25.

This could be a fun season for the Green Bay Packers once again. They went to the NFC Championship Game last season, but lost to the San Francisco 49ers, 31-17 though.

Green Bay won the NFC North last season at a record of 13-3. We will see what happens moving forward though and Aaron Rodgers is still a bad man despite being 36 years old though.

Rodgers is going to want to prove all season long he is not done and finished. Aaron Rodgers still has another few seasons left on his contract. He looks better at his age than Brett Favre did. If Rodgers took the league by storm this season, it wouldn’t be a surprise though.

The Green Bay Packers (1-0) will host the Detroit Lions (0-1) at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, next Sunday.

The Minnesota Vikings (0-1) will be on the road against the Indianapolis Colts (0-1) at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, next Sunday.
