Boston Celtics: Jayson Tatum Emerging into a Superstar

The Boston Celtics entered Game 1 against the Philadelphia 76ers as the number three seed in the Eastern Conference. There were a lot of talks as to whether or not Boston would be able to win this series despite Philadelphia beating them 3-1 in the regular season. Well, Jayson Tatum scored 32 points in a 109-101 victory for the Celtics over the 76ers.

Tatum also shot 47.6 percent from the field. He also grabbed 13 rebounds, recorded one assist, and blocked three shots. Jayson Tatum has popped into a star in this league in his third season and he could soon be a superstar.

Tatum is one of the best wing players in the NBA. He is the heartbeat and the heart and soul of this basketball team though nonetheless. His sidekick seems to be Jaylen Brown though.

Brown finished the game with 29 points. He shot 56.2 percent from the field. Jaylen Brown also grabbed six rebounds, recorded four assists, and recorded three steals.

Tatum is only 22 years old and Brown is only 23 years old. These two players have a ton of years together ahead. They both could very well receive max contracts from general manager Danny Ainge though.

Head Coach Brad Stevens has done an excellent job developing both of these players, especially Jayson Tatum. Tatum has popped this reason enlarge to Kyrie Irving leaving for the Brooklyn Nets this offseason.

Kemba Walker seems to be a better fit for this basketball team at the point guard position than Irving did. Walker may be the key for them to win a championship, but we will see what happens though.

This team could beat the (2) Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, but then they could very well struggle with the (1) Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals, especially against Giannis Antetokounmpo and his squad though.

If Boston is going to win it all this season, Jayson Tatum is going to have to play at a high level every single night along with Jaylen Brown and others.

Tatum was the third overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Duke University. I am sure that the Philadelphia 76ers are regretting passing on him for Markelle Fultz out of Washington University, who was the number one overall pick in that draft though.

He has the potential to win an MVP Award one day though. Jayson Tatum is becoming a nightmare for people to guard and defend though. He can take over games in an instant. Even when Tatum struggles, he could do a lot of things well. Jayson Tatum is also very coachable and whenever he is out of the lineup, he is dearly missed though. Tatum will be a force to be reckoned with for the next decade though.

Game 2 of this series will be on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Eastern on TNT though.
