Boston Celtics Take Down the Upset Minded Golden State Warriors

The Boston Celtics wanted to avoid an embarrassing home loss against the Golden State Warriors. Boston cruised to a 119-104 victory over Golden State on Thursday night.

Gordon Hayward led the way with 25 points for the Celtics. He shot 53.3 percent from the field. Hayward also grabbed eight rebounds, recorded three assists, blocked one shot, and recorded one steal.

Jayson Tatum scored 20 points for Boston. He shot 50 percent from the field. Tatum also grabbed six rebounds, recorded two assists, blocked one shot, and recorded one steal. Before the game, he was announced as a reserve for the Eastern Conference All-Stars. The game will be played at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on February 16.

Jaylen Brown scored 18 points. He shot 46.2 percent from the field. Brown also grabbed six rebounds, recorded two assists, blocked one shot, and recorded one steal.

Kemba Walker only scored 13 points in this game for the Boston Celtics. He shot 38.5 percent from the field. Walker also grabbed four rebounds, recorded five assists, and recorded two steals.

Their bench scored 38 points and Marcus Smart scored 21 of them. He shot 50 percent from the field. Smart also grabbed three rebounds, recorded six assists, blocked one shot, and recorded one steal.

D’Angelo Russell led the way for the Warriors with 22 points. He shot 41.2 percent from the field. Russell also grabbed three rebounds, recorded five assists, and recorded three steals.

Damion Lee and Glenn Robinson III each scored 11 points for Golden State. Lee shot 66.7 percent from the field. He also grabbed seven rebounds, recorded two assists, and recorded one steal.  Robinson III shot 40 percent from the field. He also grabbed one rebound, recorded three assists, and blocked one shot.

Draymond Green and Marquese Chriss each scored nine points for the Golden State Warriors. Green shot 37.5 percent from the field. He also grabbed four rebounds, recorded seven assists, and recorded one steal. Chriss shot 66.7 percent from the field as well. He grabbed three rebounds, recorded one assist, blocked one shot, and recorded two steals.

Their bench scored 42 points and Alec Burks scored 18 of them. He also shot 50 percent from the field. Burks also grabbed four rebounds and recorded one steal.

The biggest lead in this game for the Warriors was six points.

The biggest lead in this game for the Celtics was 19 points.

Boston currently has the same record as the Miami Heat (32-15) right now in the Eastern Conference, but the Celtics own the number three spot in the east. They are both 1.5 games back of the Toronto Raptors (34-14) for the number two seed.

Boston trails the Milwaukee Bucks (41-6) by nine games. The Indiana Pacers (31-17) are currently the fifth seed in the east and the Philadelphia 76ers are currently the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Golden State Warriors are one of the worst teams in the NBA so far this season.

The Boston Celtics swept the season series against Golden State.

The Golden State Warriors (10-39) next game will be on the road on Saturday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers (13-36).

Boston’s (32-15) next game will be at home on Saturday night against the Philadelphia 76ers (31-18).
