Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Good, Bad, and Ugly vs Jacksonville Jaguars

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers did something yesterday they have done all season won two games in a row. Once again, they won on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Buccaneers started the game very well. They had a 25-point lead heading into half time. The funny thing is coming into the week the Buccaneers should have an easy time running the ball. They only had 74 yards rushing. The Jaguars are a very weak run defense. So how did the Bucs come out on top with a win? Easy, the passing game was good, and the defense was awesome. The defense caused four turnovers. Two alone by Devon White. He had an interception and a strip sack-fumble. The fumble resulted in him scooping the ball up and scoring a touchdown. The Jaguars fans booed throughout the game because of Nick Foles.

He was replaced by Gardner Minshew. Who came in and brought a spark. The spark was not enough, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers escaped with a 28-11 victory.

Good: Buccaneers Defense

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense was strong once again yesterday. They had a stranglehold on the Jaguars defense no matter who was the quarterback. The Jaguars were only 4 for 14 on third down conversations. Which means it gave the offense chances to score points. The Jaguars also only had one touchdown for the entire game. That touchdown didn’t come until the fourth quarter in which a two-point conversation was also scored. The Bucs held the Jags to just 242 total yards. Now, this defense has been great the last two weeks against the Jags and Atlanta Falcons. Now many will say neither team is that good. Still, the defense is starting to gel at the right time. The Buccaneers have an outside shot of finishing 9-7 on the season the defense will be a big part of it.

Bad: Nick Foles

Foles went 7 for 14 for 93-yards and one interception. The crowd in Jacksonville booed him. Doug Marrone was forced to make the change to Gardner Minshew. The question now is what do you do with Foles? The Jaguars are paying him a ton of money. He might now be the team back-up. In the next Jaguars game, Minshew will start not Foles. Minshew brings a spark not only with his arm but his legs as well. The offense has looked better with Minshew at the helm. He filled in when Foles was out with an injury. The Jaguars were hoping for more out of Nick Foles. Especially yesterday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Ugly: Jaguars Season

Now many weren’t excepting the Jaguars to do anything this year. The team could have been a team that made a run at the AFC South title. Now the question is what is going to happen with Doug Marrone. He most likely will lose his job. They are currently 4-8 and with four games left, they may not win again. It has been tough for Jags fans and the future may not be too bright.
