Florida Gators: Looking Ahead to the Missouri Tigers

Coming into week 12 this will be the final SEC game for the Florida Gators. They of course as we know they had two losses in the conference. Those losses came to the LSU Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs. Both of those teams are currently in the top four teams in the country. The Florida Gators are coming off their third shutout over the Vanderbilt Commodores. No matter what they have looked good for a second year under Dan Mullen. Their opponent is the Missouri Tigers. The Tigers have two more SEC games after the Gators. They have played the Gators tough over the past couple of years. The Tigers are at home but the Gators will be a tough foe. The Tigers are just one game above five hundred records wise. The game will kick off at noon. Both teams need this game. Let’s see how it goes.

Florida Gators (8-2)

Like I said above the Gators have had a good season. Now they are close to being a college football playoff team. Dan Mullen has turned the program around. They lost Feleipe Franks to injury but Kyle Trask has filled his shoes very well. In their losses the Tigers game was close and then the Tigers took over at the end. The Bulldogs’ loss came because they couldn’t get them off the field on third down. Last week the Florida Gators got back to their dominance. Now if the Gators win this game they will only have two losses in the conference. Now like I said the Tigers have given them fits. They beat them last year. I don’t see Mullen and the company losing again. The Gators will no overlook the Tigers because they do have in-state rival the Florida State Seminoles in the final week.

Missouri Tigers (5-4)

The Tigers have had a rough season. They are 2-3 in the conference. The last three games against the Vanderbilt Commodores, Kentucky Wildcats, and Georgia Bulldogs all have been losses. The Gators have defeated the Commodores last week and the Kentucky Wildcats earlier in the year. The Tigers do have something in common they have both lost to the Georgia Bulldogs. Clemson transfer Kelly Bryant will play against the Gators. Now the Tigers only need one more game to be bowl eligible. It will be a tough outing for them. Of course, they will use last year’s win as confidence. They know this would be a big win to upset the Gators this late in the season. After this, they play the Tennessee Volunteers and Arkansas Razorbacks. I look for them to get the win in one of those two games after this one.

So the path is laid out for the Gators. If they win they will be 6-2 in the conference. Like I said earlier they are close to being a college football playoff team. The Tigers are going to have to retune to get back to their winning ways. This game could be one-sided or go back and forth let’s see how it plays out.
