Florida Gators: Looking Ahead to the Game vs LSU Tigers
The Florida Gators played their first of four grueling games. They played a good game in defeating the Auburn Tigers on homecoming. The Gators, of course, were are at home in the confines of the Swamp. This week they travel on the road to Death Valley. The team that will be waiting is the LSU Tigers. This will be yet another battle of top 10 teams. The Gators come into the game as a 13.5 point underdog. Both teams match up well. The Tigers are averaging 54.6 points per game the Gators have only given up 57 points all season. Something will have to give. The Gators do not need to beat the Tigers to reach the SEC Championship. What I mean is that it won’t hurt them as long as they beat the Georgia Bulldogs on November 2nd. The Gators run game could be the difference in this game.
The Gators come into this game undefeated with six wins. The most recent one coming off a homecoming win over the Tigers. They would defeat the Tigers 24-13. The biggest play coming on an 88-yard run by Lamical Perine. This has been something the Gators need to get going especially against the LSU Tigers. The Gators come into this game scoring more 20 points in every game this year. Quarterback Kyle Trask suffered an injury against the Auburn Tigers but came back. Emory Jones looked good while Trask was out. The Gators’ defense has been nothing short of outstanding. They did not let Bo Nix and the Tigers running game down the entire game. They were able to hold the Tigers to just 13 points. The Gators will have to avoid turnovers they had four against the Tigers. The defense can force turnovers which will help defeat the LSU Tigers.
The Tigers also come into this game undefeated. This will be their second SEC game for the year. The only other conference game came against the Vanderbilt Commodores in which they beat 66-38. The other big team that the Tiger has beat was the University of Texas which was close. The final score was 45-38. They have scored no less than 42 points in their five games. Quarterback Joe Burrow has been great. The Tigers come into with a defeat of the Utah State Aggies 42-6. Many were hoping they weren’t overlooking the Aggies. That of course as you see didn’t happen. Now they get the Gators in Death Valley. It is one of the scariest places to play. This will be a night game. Maybe we will see another minor earthquake in Louisiana. Look for the Tigers to keep scoring. That will be hard against the Gators.
This game is such a close matchup. It will as we know who makes the least amount of mistakes. Many are surprised the Gators come to this game as a two-touchdown underdog. This game will be close. It will be a hostile crowd for the Gators. It will be a good SEC game this Saturday night.
