Fantasy Football: Top 10 Fantasy QB’s Heading into 2019
Fantasy football is just as important as the actual NFL games for fanatics who participate. In the NFL, the quarterback position pockets the highest paychecks and the league regularly administers new rules to protect their prized possessions. Below, I reveal the 10 best fantasy football quarterbacks for the 2019 NFL season.
Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
As soon as Gisele Bundchen convinces Tom Brady to retire from football. Mahomes will be the face of the NFL for the foreseeable future. There is not a throw he cannot make. Head coach Andy Reid is an offensive wizard and will enter this season with renewed energy and with an entire new badge of plays for WR Tyreek Hill to get behind defenses.
Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
Brees and fiery head coach Sean Payton are poised to conduct business as usual. WR Mike Thomas is now scrumptiously paid and RB Alvin Kamara is ready to justify the Saints parting ways with RB Mark Ingram. Expect another explosive fantasy year.
Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns
Mayfield has established himself as the leader of the high media celebrated Cleveland Browns. With the addition of the explosive and flamboyant WR Odell Beckham along with veteran WR Jarvis Landry and RB Kareem Hunt (8-game suspension), expect Mayfield to put up impressive fantasy football numbers this season.
Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals
Although a rookie, expect head coach Kliff Kingsbury to put the ball in Murray’s hand early and often. Murray is ready for prime time and from what I saw last week, Cardinals are in good hands. Veteran RB David Johnson will have a very productive season.
Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
Rodgers and new head coach Matt LaFleur are still figuring who is in charge. When it is all said and done Rodgers will be Rodgers. Remarkable fantasy numbers will be present when the dust settles.
Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks
Wilson will do what he always does….everything! Wilson was paid handsomely and his numbers will be remarkable this coming year.
Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans
Watson is my 2019 MVP candidate. They say the third time is the charm and for Watson entering his third season, he is poised and more importantly healthy enough for 2019 season to be the highlight of his career. WR’s Will Fuller and All-Pro WR DeAndre Hopkins will play a major role in Watson’s unprecedented performance this year.
Tom Brady, New England Patriots
Tom Brady Head coach Bill Belichick and Brady are the winningest tandem in NFL history. The regular season is meaningful, however, with these two the only thing that matters are rings. Brady’s fantasy numbers will be competitive but nowhere near the top.
Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons
Ryan has the undisputed best wide receiver in the league in Julio Jones. Plus, Calvin Ridley and Mohamed Sanu can flat ball and put up big numbers. Devonta Freeman will finally be over what transpired in the Super Bowl against the Patriots
Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
Owner Jerry Jones will be wise and pay superstar RB Ezekiel Elliott his monies and enjoy a competitive season. Otherwise, do not select Dak in your fantasy football draft. WR Amari Cooper will be dominant this year. Dak will be playing for a new contract, so expect a motivated QB to put up so remarkable numbers.
