Pittsburgh Steelers: They Will be Better in 2019

As we inch closer and closer to the start of the NFL season. Certain questions come up and have to be answered. Every team had questions going into the season that fans will say they are no big deal and others are on edge. One of those teams is the Pittsburgh Steelers. They have some big changes coming in 2019. The biggest question is how they will do without Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown? Many fans say the team will not be the same but on the other hand, many believe they are better off. Here is my opinion on how the Steelers will be better without Bell and Brown.

No Drama

Let me state this right off the bat athletes deserve and will find a way to make as much money as they can. I am not saying that what Bell and Brown did was right but they felt that could get more money from leaving Steelers. Now, we these two gone the Steelers can go on without the drama. This season should be much easier to just play football. The drama of the media will not be there after every practice or game asking about these two players. The Steelers can focus on the young nucleus that starts with JuJu Smith-Schuster and James Conner.

These two young players have proved they can carry the load. This will help Ben Roethlisberger as he gets closer to possibly the end of his career. Head coach Mike Tomlin just signed to a new contract extension today. The Rooney’s know they can now focus on what stars they have and move forward. The Steelers are out to win their division which got better as the Cleveland Browns made big splashes during the offseason. They also don’t want to see the New England Patriots surpass them for the most Super Bowl titles.

Now the players can focus on football and the players who want to be Steelers. The players found it annoying to have answer questions about Bell and Brown. The Steelers don’t have to worry about Bell and Brown posting social media that they dislike the Steelers. When it all comes down to is playing and winning football games. The team that they have is more than capable of making a Super Bowl run. The more relaxed the players and coaching staff is will lead to more wins.

James Conner showed in 2018 he can be the lead running back. The Steelers also drafted Benny Snell out of the University of Kentucky. Snell was the leading rusher in the SEC last year. He will help Conner and also learn from him. With Smith-Schuster he can now be the leading wide receiver. It will be harder on him because Brown was the one that defenses key in on. Now that attention will turn his way. On the other hand, he can handle it. Therefore, in the end, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be better off without Brown and Bell. In fact, look for them to be one of the top teams in the NFL in 2019.
