Getting In The Fall Spirit: Five Activities To Try This Season

The summer season is coming to an end quite soon and the next season is approaching. My favorite time of the year and the season I think is the best: fall. Some of the best months from September till November are great every year to get into the seasonal spirit. There are plenty of things to do in the fall months of September, October, and November but there are a few things I plan on doing this fall to get me in the spirit. Let’s take a gander at five things to do this fall season.

Go To A High School Football Game

In August, high school starts the new school year and a fun way to kick off fall is to catch a football game. Going to a high school football game can be fun to see sports live, catch up with people you know, be outside during the seasonal weather changing, and bring back some nostalgia from your high school days. It’s definitely something fun to do on a Friday night, going to get something to eat and go see your old high school play some football in the new season. It definitely brings back memories when I played football in high school and I plan to take my family to a game this fall. It’s one possible thing to do with your family this coming up season if it piques your interest.

Enjoy College Gamedays On Saturdays

In the fall season, one of my favorite things is College Gamedays on Saturdays. I don’t ever get to go to college football games so tailgating isn’t an option, but College Gameday at home with family and friends is where it’s at. Waking up early around 8 a.m. to turn ESPN College Gameday on, getting your lucky college team gear on, prepping the game-day snacks, and watching hours of college football can be great especially with great people like friends or family. This season I definitely plan on spending a few Saturdays watching football and enjoying College Gamedays with the family.

Visit Festivals Or A Fair

The best time of the year to go to a fair or a festival is in the fall season. When the weather is cooling off and it’s not too hot or too cold, go visit a festival. Some festivals that are free or cheap can be great places to go to get out of the house and travel to spend time with family. It’s a way to be around people and enjoy life by trying new things. In October usually, every place has an Oktoberfest which is a fun festival to visit and there are always fun Halloween themed festivals to go to.

During the fall they have plain fall festivals to try before October as well. Visiting a fair can be fun for the family in the fall season as well. Enjoying the brisk weather, riding the rides like the Ferris Wheel, playing fair games to win prizes, and grabbing food to eat like funnel cakes can be great to do with the family. The fair is definitely a fun fall activity to enjoy this coming up season. I plan to spend time with my family at festivals and the fair this fall for sure. Check out some festivals and fairs near you this fall.

Go On Nature Walks

In the Fall, the leaves are changing from usually green to red, orange, yellow, and brown. What a better time to enjoy nature than in the fall when you can walk through piles of leaves on the ground and gaze upon the changing colors in nature. It’s not too hot to step outside and not too cold yet, which makes Fall the perfect season to enjoy walks through nature. From September through early November step outside and take a walk through nature’s beautiful scenery.

Visit A Pumpkin Patch

In the fall season, walking through a pumpkin patch can be something fun to do. Whether you’re taking a child to go pick one or you yourself want to get one to carve, the fun is for everyone. Going to a pumpkin patch brings back childhood memories and can be lots of fun for the whole family. Everyone picking one, carving, and decorating them is a fun activity that everyone can enjoy in the Fall season. Definitely, a fun thing to try doing with the family this fall.

There are plenty of other activities to do in the Fall season. However, these are just five to get you in the spirit in the coming months. I enjoyed doing these things in previous fall seasons and can’t wait to jump in the leaves of fall with my family this year. These five things are definitely worth trying to do with your family this fall.
