Los Angeles Lakers: Anthony Davis Trade Opens New Avenues for Lake Show
It’s official! A trade between the New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers has taken place, sending Anthony Davis to the purple and gold. Meanwhile, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Brandon Ingram, and three picks are headed to NOLA.
This deal won’t be official until July 1, but it has created a ton of buzz around a franchise that was once sputtering out of control. Now new doors have opened thanks to this blockbuster trade.
Of course, free agents will get giddy about the potential the Lakers now have, since Anthony Davis, LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma are the big dogs in the locker room and will score the majority of the club’s points.

LA now has a guy it can hand the keys to, once James goes into retirement mode or starts to fall off in production. The offense can center around a post player, who has been explosive and a dominant rebounder. Davis and James will allow shooters to get open and James will have a running mate he can fully trust if he decides to pass a bit more or just needs a breather.
The Los Angeles Lakers now have a sales pitch: Come play in LA and wear the purple and gold, because you will have LeBron and AD to carry the load and create a nasty dynamic the league will have zero answers for.
Air B&B, aka Air Bron and Brow, will be a catchy and very fun to watch duo for years to come. The pair lets everyone know the Lakers are back and are officially going to kick down doors in order to reach a championship.
The Los Angeles Lakers will attract shooters, which will lead to success. If any stock is rising in the NBA, it’s that of the Lakers. With so much uncertainty surrounding other teams, it’s important for mid-, top-tier players to find a team with title aspirations and some stability. It now appears as though the Lakers have that with Anthony Davis.
