Madison Bumgarner Submits List of Teams He Wants to be Traded To
San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner will be a free agent at the end of the season. San Francisco is currently in last place in the NL West with a 16-23 record. They had one of the worst records in baseball last season. Thus the Giants will most likely begin a rebuilding phase.
Bumgarner won three World Series titles with San Francisco. He was outstanding in all of them, including 2014. Madison Bumgarner is only 29 years old. He has submitted a list of eight teams that he would want to be traded to.
According to Ken Rosenthal, they are the Atlanta Braves, the Boston Red Sox, the Chicago Cubs, the Houston Astros, the Milwaukee Brewers, the New York Yankees, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the St. Louis Cardinals.
What could be some possible trades for him?
Boston Red Sox
New York Yankees
St. Louis Cardinals
Madison Bumgarner’s record so far this season is 2-4 with a 3.99 ERA. In 49.2 innings pitched, he has given up 49 runs and 27 hits. Bumgarner has walked eight batters and has struck out 51.
There is no doubt in my mind he will be acquired by one of these eight teams at the trade deadline. IN fact, it could potentially be even sooner. I think Madison Bumgarner will either end up with the New York Yankees, the Milwaukee Brewers, or the Houston Astros.
