NBA: Four Non-Playoff Teams That Have the Brightest Futures

The 2018-2019 NBA postseason currently ongoing. However, it is never too early to talk about the teams who missed the playoffs. Especially the ones that could reach the playoffs next season. Which teams missed the playoffs this year have the brightest futures ahead of them?

Sacramento Kings

I think the first team that comes to mind is the Sacramento Kings. They won 39 games this season and it was one of Sacramento’s better seasons in a long time. They hired Luke Walton as head coach. De’Aaron Fox, Marvin Bagley III, and Buddy Hield will be a nice core to work with. This team is also one of the youngest teams in the NBA.

Los Angeles Lakers

The second team that comes to mind is the Los Angeles Lakers. This was supposed to be the year the Lakers went deep into the playoffs in LeBron James’ first season with the team and it was the complete opposite. With saying that, Lebron James will have a ton of rest heading into next season after having the entire months of April, May, and June off. He will be energized to get back to the playoffs next season and Lebron will get the guys he needs this offseason so they won’t miss the playoffs again.

Atlanta Hawks

The third team that comes to mind is the Atlanta Hawks. They have Trae Young and he is one of the favorites to win the Rookie of the Year Award in the NBA. Atlanta also has two possible lottery picks in the NBA Draft this season. Could you imagine them landing the number one pick and taking Zion Williamson?

Chicago Bulls

The fourth team that comes to mind is the Chicago Bulls. Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr. will be a nice frontcourt to have for the next decade. They will most likely wind up with a top three or four pick and land a franchise guard.
