The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Puppygate, British Humor, and Boy George…Oh, my!

The drama continued on this week’s episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. If you’ve been keeping up, you’ve probably asked, “What the hell is going on?” more than once this season. Same here, which is why I’m not even going to try to recap everything. If you need one, though, this should help. What exactly have we learned so far? How long can Puppygate go on?

It all started when Dorit Kemsley adopted a dog from Vanderpump Dogs, and it’s all been downhill from there. The feud started as Dorit v. LVP but quickly became Dorit v. LVP v. Teddi Mellencamp. It then became something like Dorit v. LVP v. Teddi v. Vanderpump Dogs employee John Blizzard v. Kyle Richards featuring Lisa Rinna. Now, it’s pretty much LVP v. all the other housewives, except Denise Richards who is Switzerland.

A couple of weeks ago, we witnessed what could be described as the fight of the century. Kyle went to Lisa Vanderpump’s house to discuss the Radar Online article that came out about Dorit and the dog drama. Dorit and some of the other ladies thought the article smelled a bit fishy and believed it originated from Vanderpump. (Flashback to season two when Adrienne accused LVP of selling stories.) Kyle tried to go to Lisa as a friend, but it quickly backfired and a yelling match among Lisa, Kyle and Ken went down in the Villa Rosa kitchen. The best part about this is it has given us an iconic line from RHOBH: “Goodbye, Kyle!”

The other good thing that can come of this is that now the other wives may be learning what Kyle has known for years. Lisa V. does not do well with being called out or questioned.
Fast forward to this week’s episode, Kyle learns she has to wear a cap-sleeve bridesmaid dress, the ladies sans LVP (and Denise) go see Boy George and Lisa V. is getting a new kitchen.

Most of the episode is kid makeup photoshoots, Denise getting emotional about her kids and revealing that she works out and has sex with her husband every morning (wow!) and Dorit comparing Lisa Vanderpump to Denise Richards’s ex Charlie Sheen. “They’re both Virgos,” Kyle explained.

Before the concert, we learn that PK is trying to get back in Ken and Lisa’s good graces by calling Ken and saying not to throw him and Dorit in with Teddi and Kyle. Desperate much?

Then finally, the Boy George concert. Margarita Kyle shows up and all the ladies are having fun. Everything is great. Cut to after the show. Margarita Kyle decides to ask Boy George if he’s ever worried that someone could hurt him during a show. He brushes it off, she persists and then PK decides to open his fat mouth and say, “You could have issues, you can’t even get on with your best friend, so you could have issues.”

PK then claims it’s just “British humor,” which no one thought was funny. Kyle tells him that he’s in the same boat as her with the Vanderpumps, while PK brags about the phone call he had with Ken. I think Lucy Lucy Apple Juice just had good judgment when she bit PK.

Kyle goes on to say that she’s in this mess because she defended Dorit and PK and that none of them would be in this situation if it weren’t for the Kemsleys and their dog. After deciding to leave, the women go back and forth for a bit before moving on, and that’s where we are.

This season so far has been confusing, to say the least, but one thing is for sure. All of the housewives are really coming together over being against Lisa Vanderpump. It’s truly moving to watch.

Whose side are you on? Are you #TeamLVP? #TeamDorit? #TeamKyle? Or do you prefer to be like Denise and stay out of it? Or maybe you’re just #TeamTiredOfHearingAboutIt. We’ll see just how long a scandal about a puppy can go on if the truth will ever come out, and how long LVP can hold a grudge.
