PGA Tour: Top Five Predictions for the 2019 Masters Tournament

The PGA Tour is just a week away from having its first major. The Masters is probably the most popular major of the four. Augusta National the host course is always so beautiful with how green the course is and the beautiful flowers that grow on the course. This invites the chance for players to win their first major or etch another one to their career. It also brings out the legions of the game as well all the past champions. Here are my 5 picks who I think will win the Masters.

1. Dustin Johnson

The number one player in the world has been playing well this season. He has the game to play well at Augusta. He hits the ball deep of the tee and he can shape it as well. Johnson is not staying at the same condo he has an accident in 2017. If he can keep together on Sundays which I believe he will he could be wearing the green jacket on Sunday.

2. Justin Rose

Rose plays well at Augusta. He has 5 top 10’s at the Masters. Rose was the runner-up just two years ago in 2017. He is a solid player who has the game to win at Augusta. Is Rose second major coming next week?

3. Rory McIlroy

McIlroy has played well this season. Just winning the Players Championship a few weeks ago. His putting has gotten better, which has led to him playing better. He only needs the Masters to complete the career grand slam. If he can finally make his way up the leaderboard which he has all week at the Masters the green jacket will be his.

4. Jon Rahm

Rahm nearly won the Players Championship. He lost his cool and hit a shot he shouldn’t have hit. If he can keep his cool, he could win his first major. He has a game that can win majors. Look for him to be at the top of the leaderboard on Sunday.

5. Brooks Koepka

Koepka has won 3 of the past six majors. He knows how to win when the pressure is on him. He has gotten better as he gained experience at Augusta National. His wrist injury last year kept him from playing his best at the Masters but he was able to win the US Open and the PGA Championship. Look for Koepka to play solid in this year Masters tournament.
