Offensive Line

With Nick Foles at the helm of the offense, the Jaguars will need to do something to protect him. Not only that, but they will also be able to open holes for Leonard Fournette.

Jawaan Taylor – University of Florida, is one of the horses that could start right away for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 6’5” 315lb OL has excellent mobility for a man his size. He can get to linebackers quickly and when he does, they succumb to his size. He would be an ideal pick at number seven.

Wide Receiver

This draft is deep at offensive line. Therefore, the Jacksonville Jaguars could choose to go WR with the seventh overall pick. I believe the lack of a true WR threat is the reason the team took a step back in 2018.

D.K. Metcalf out of Ole Miss is a beast. In addition, he is the best WR in this draft. The 6’3” 228lb man ran a 4.3 40-yard dash. He also has some of the softest hands seen on a man this size. If the Jaguars are serious about contending again in 2019, this may be the route they need to go with their offense.

Safety

The backend of the defense has a small opening. The Jaguars released Tashaun Gipson in a salary cap move. Therefore, a move to secure a star safety needs to be early.

A player like Amani Hooker (Iowa) could be available for Jaguars in the second round. Hooker is a versatile safety that has great instincts. He also has excellent ball skills. Making Hooker a selection in the second round would secure the backend of the Jags defense.

The Jacksonville Jaguars played in the AFC Championship Game just two years ago. I believe that them not returning there is of their own doing and nothing more. They are able to make some quality selections in the first couple of rounds, they could return to the playoffs in 2019.
