Washington Redskins: Three Keys Against the Houston Texans
The Washington Redskins are 6-3 heading into a week 11 matchup against the Houston Texans. The Texans are winners of their last games. Now they come into FedEx Field looking to continue that streak. A place that is usually friendly to the opposition. However, the Redskins will be looking to change that. A win could go a long way for the 2018 Washington Redskins and a successful season. Here are three keys for a win on Sunday.
The makeshift o-line had a fantastic game last Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They are going to have to be that and maybe better against the Houston Texans. The Bucs do not have players the likes of J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney on their line. If the o-line is able to control those two forces, then the Redskins offense should have a successful afternoon.
In a sense, I agree with Josh Norman. Fed Ex Field has become more of a home away from home for the road team. With the way this team has underperformed for many years, it is not surprising either. However, other franchises that underperform do not see their attendance shift towards the opposition. Nonetheless, it is time to take back what is rightfully ours, FedEx Field!
Josh Norman and company need to come to play on Sunday. The Houston Texans bring in one of the best WR groups in the game – Demaryius Thomas and DeAndre Hopkins. If they get loose on the secondary, it could be a long day for the defense of the Washington Redskins.
In nine games this season, the Washington Redskins have yet to see a lead change. If they fall behind, they have lost and if they have a lead, they have won. Let us hope that the Redskins get on top early.
