Florida Gators: What to Look for Against the Idaho Vandals
The Florida Gators are coming off a come from behind win last week. The Gators trailed the South Carolina Gamecocks 31-14. They would score 21 unanswered points and win 35-31. This was the last SEC game for the Gators. They lost three this year to the Kentucky Wildcats, Georgia Bulldogs and Missouri Tigers. The Gators were booed last week but were able to overcome that. The Swamp will be loud this week and the Gators have their last home game. They welcome Idaho.
The Gators are having a good season no matter what their record indicates. The fans need to relax and give the team time. Dan Mullen has the team moving in the right direction. The future looks very good for the Gators. The strength of the team has been the defense. They like most have had good games and bad ones. The offense has been up and down as well. Feleipe Franks was the one who was booed the most last week. When he scored a late touchdown, he put his finger to his helmet telling the fans to stop. We will have to see what the future holds for Kyle Trask.
This game should be a warm-up for the Gators. Now they should not overlook the game because anything can happen. The Gators will travel to Tallahassee next week to play in-state rival the Florida State Seminoles. Mullen will have to see what he has this week and try and put a solid game plan together. If there are any adjustments that must be made this is the week to do it. The Seminoles like the Gators have struggled in 2018.
Idaho will enjoy their visit to the Swamp. Most likely it will be more to say they got to see it. These are games that many teams schedule late in the season to give them positive vibes going into the final game. Look for the Gators to come out and show little mercy. Even though they had a victory a week ago it was a comeback. They haven’t had a dominant victory since week 1. The Gators will sharpen everything they need as they get ready to play the Seminoles for the battle of Florida.
