A Star is Born in Lady Gaga
It is no doubt that Lady Gaga is one of the best entertainers of all time.
With the release of A Star Is Born, Gaga has impressed audiences around the world in her first feature film directed by Bradley Cooper.
The fourth incarnation of A Star Is Born released on October 5th. It came with rave reviews and is already a contender for the upcoming awards season, particularly the Academy Awards.
Gaga, on the other hand, has become the real star of all of the film’s success.
With the soundtrack for A Star Is Born going number one on the Billboard 200, Lady Gaga broke a record of having five albums top the charts within the decade, breaking a tie she shared with Taylor Swift.
Getting back to awards season, it is without a doubt that Lady Gaga is a contender for some of the top awards for Best Actress. Her closest competition would be Glenn Close who after six nominations has yet to win.
Lady Gaga captured a nomination for Best Original Song back in 2016. The nomination was for “Til It Happens To You” from the documentary The Hunting Ground. She lost that night to Sam Smith for “The Writing’s On The Wall” from the James Bond film Spectre. This caused an uproar to many Oscar viewers and fans.
Gaga is one of many artists who has crossed the boundaries between music and film. And at 32, she has a lot more to accomplish in her career and shows no signs of slowing down.
As a fan, I am blown away by Lady Gaga’s dedication to her work. Her influence will flow in up-and-coming entertainers that they don’t have to fit one mold in whatever passions they have.
Gaga’s star was born when she first step on to the scene over a decade ago. And her star is only getting bigger and brighter.
