Indianapolis Colts tab Frank Reich as next Head Coach
The Indianapolis Colts have found their man. Reports are out that they are hiring Philadelphia Eagle Offensive Coordinator, Franck Reich as their next head coach. The move came quickly after the Colts had the sights set on New England Patriots OC, Josh McDaniel. However, McDaniel, after saying yes to Colts, removed his name from consideration. Now the man to lead the way will be Reich.
Frank Reich will be the Colts’ new coach. Five-year deal with the team has been agreed to and about to be finalized, source says. @espn reported earlier he was the fave.

Reich is coming off winning a Super Bowl LII Championship as offensive Coordinators of the Eagles. He has been a name that was rising in the ranks of head coaching candidates. Now, the Indianapolis Colts will give him a chance.
The former QB of the Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, New York Jets, and Detroit Lions, Frank Reich made his name by quarterbacking the biggest comeback in NFL postseason history. In spite of being down 35-3 in the third quarter of the 1993 AFC Wild Card game, Reich led the Bills on a 38-3 scoring spree. The game would go to overtime and the Bills would win 41-38. Still one of the greatest, if not the greatest postseason games in history.
As a coach, Reich has been around the way. In fact, he started his coaching career with the Indianapolis Colts as an offensive staff assistant in 2008. He was also a quarterbacks coach and wide receiver coach for the Colts. Following this, he spent a year with the Arizona Cardinals as a wide receivers coach. After that, he had three years with the then San Diego Chargers as a quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator. Finally, as I previously mentioned, he was the Eagles offensive coordinator last year.
Becoming the head coach of the Indianapolis Coach means that Reich may have an opportunity to coach one of the best young QBs in the league, Andrew Luck. However, that will be dependent on if Luck can return from a serious shoulder injury.
Thus, Frank Reich becomes the 11th head coach in the history in the Indianapolis Colts and the 19th head coach of the Colts franchise as a whole. It is his first stint as a head coach in the NFL.
