Georgia Bulldogs: Three Keys to win the National Title against the Alabama Crimson Tide
Monday Night will be the National Championship Game in Atlanta Georgia. It will be an SEC rivalry facing off against each other in the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide. These two teams did not play each other this season but are still rivals. After Georgia’s thrilling double-overtime victory over Heisman winner Baker Mayfield’s Oklahoma Sooners, what will it take for a victory against Alabama? I believe that there are 3 keys to Victory for Georgia to win their first National Title since 1980. Although the winner will have to deal with UCF calling for “Co-National Champs”. Either way, we should be in for an entertaining football game. To me, it would be funny if the losing coach of the team who lost to say “First off I would like to congratulate UCF on being the real champs”. I think that would be hilarious and a great troll job.
Keys To Victory for the Georgia Bulldogs
1) Nick Chubb and Sony Michel will need to do what they did against Oklahoma run the ball and run it well. They ran for over 300 yards combined in the Rose Bowl game and will need a similar effort against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Now Alabama is going to do a concerted effort to stop the run and will probably leave it open for Jake Fromm to beat them. Which leads me to key to victory number 2.
2) Jake Fromm will need to play his best game of the season against Alabama. He needs to play mistake-free football. Make his reads get the throws out clean and crisp and don’t force the ball if it is not there. Nick Saban will have a game plan in effect to stop the run at all costs which will give Fromm the ability to throw the ball. If he can make his throws and make the proper reads then the Alabama Crimson Tide will not be able to stop Georgia.
3) Georgia’s defense will need to stop Jalen Hurts from beating them, we know the book on him is he can’t throw the ball so, make him beat you with his arm. In fact, the reason Jalen Hurts has been successful is the ability to move the pocket and make plays with his feet. If the Georgia Bulldogs can limit those big plays then it might not even be a close game.
So what does this all mean? Who truly has the better team? Honestly, I believe Georgia has had the better season all year. If not for 1 game against Auburn they would have been undefeated. Additionally, remember this team lost their QB in the first game of the season. Thus they had to have Freshmen Jake Fromm step in and lead them to where they are now. It truly is, indeed, an accomplishment on his part. In fact, it is a great job by Kirby Smart having his players ready to play. This game will be won by the Georgia Bulldogs 35-21.
