WWE Rumors: Cesaro’s push in 2018 is on hold

Since Cesaro has been in the WWE, the fans have hoped for a push. There were a few moments when they thought it would finally happen. Unfortunately, the WWE has only pushed Cesaro as a tag team superstar. They had him team up with Tyson Kidd for a bit of time and they were one of the better teams. Then, Tyson Kidd would end up being forced to retire and Cesaro was flopping in the mid-card scene.

However, the WWE decided to have Cesaro and Sheamus go through a best of seven series in 2017. It ended up coming down to their last bout at Night of Champions. There ended up not being a winner and the WWE decided to run with it. They ended up having the two European stars team together. They would end up being the first team to halt the New Day’s historical tag title run. Since then, Sheamus and Cesaro have held the Raw Tag Titles on three different occasions. However, Cesaro is still a fan favorite that the WWE doesn’t want to push.

It seemed that 2018 was going to finally be his year. However, it seems that those plans have been halted. According to several wrestling sites, the WWE wants to allow the Bar to run as long as they can. This is because Sheamus has been diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis. This is a problem with the spine that will basically sideline Sheamus some time down the road. New York Mets third baseman David Wright also has Spinal Stenosis.

Spinal Stenosis is the same thing that put Tyson Kidd out of action. I hope that once Sheamus’ time is up that the WWE actually follows through with this push for Cesaro, He is one of the most underutilized wrestlers in the last few years. He is a fan favorite and personally, I don’t understand why the WWE hasn’t pushed him yet.

This is a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt.
