New York Jets: Dear Santa, A letter from the Fans of Gang Green
Dear Santa from the New York Jets,
I don’t know if the Jets have pissed you off. If we have, then I apologize. Now that we got that out-of-the-way, there’s a bigger reason for me writing this letter. Since Christmas is only a few days away, there happen to be a few things that Jets fans would love to find in their stockings.
For starters, we would like a super bowl win already. Yes, I am aware that we won Super Bowl III over the Baltimore Colts in 1969. But it has been tough to sit to the side and see teams like the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, and the New York Giants win multiple ones. We don’t like walking into our own house and seeing the Giants have multiple rings. We aren’t asking for as many as those teams, just one would be nice.
Also, we would like to get a franchise quarterback. Yes, I am aware that the last one we had was Joe Namath during the Super Bowl run, but we have essentially sucked at the QB position. There have been a few exceptions, but for the most part, it has been nothing but crap. Just to put into perspective of how bad our quarterbacks have been. When Mark Sanchez was here, he played against the Patriots on Thanksgiving. The world saw what became known as the butt fumble.
Lastly, is there any chance of getting an actual head coach who knows what they are doing. We are tired of going through the years of coaches making their coaching debuts like Rex Ryan, Todd Bowles, Eric Mangini, and others.
Hopefully, we are on your nice list and are able to get what we are asking for. We would like to have something good happen to this team for the first time in who knows how long.
Thank you and Merry Christmas,
