Denver Broncos: Three Keys to watch against the Miami Dolphins
For the Denver Broncos, a 7-game win streak is an uncharted territory. This is the first time since 1967 that the Broncos have suffered such a streak. Sunday, the Broncos will attempt to snap that streak in Miami again the Miami Dolphins. They return to starting QB Trevor Siemian to lead the charge. What will the Broncos need to do to snatch up a win? Here are the keys to a Broncos victory.
Yep, another week we add the Denver Broncos defense. This has been an unprecedented season. While they still rank in the top five, they are not holding teams out of the end zone. Yardage stats do not matter if you cannot keep teams out the end zone. The Broncos are facing way too many short fields and that is a recipe for disaster for any offense.
- Running Game
It what has been a staple for many Denver Broncos teams it is not of this one. The Broncos are currently the 16th ranked rush offense in the league. The Dolphins defense ranks 25th against the run. So, if the Broncos get their ass in gear and push around the Dolphins they could be in for a successful outing on the ground. This, in turn, will help with our next key.
- Trevor Siemian
Siemian returns to the lineup as the starter for the Denver Broncos. He comes back after taking over for the injured Paxton Lynch last week. The Broncos offense was stale through three-quarters last week. Then Siemian came in and put up 149 yards and two TDs.
OC Bill Musgrave wanted Siemian to start last week. He felt that he was a better fit or the offense. This week, however with four-quarters under his belt we will see if that is the case.
The Denver Broncos have a very good opportunity in week 13. In fact, they face a struggling Dolphins team that can be up and down week-to-week. If the Broncos finally put it all together, this could be the end of the longest losing streak in 50 years.
