Big 12 Championship

Big 12 Championship: TCU vs. Oklahoma Preview

It is that time of the year. The College Football season is wrapping up and we are getting into bowl games. However, before we get into the bowl games, the conferences will have there championship games. On Saturday we will see a clash between two schools who could win. It was two summers ago that the Big 12 brought back the championship game. This was mainly due to the fact that TCU and Baylor were not included in the CFB Playoff, when they clearly should of been.

Oklahoma Sooners will win

The Sooners will be coming into this game with a ton of momentum. Since Thanksgiving 2017, the Sooners haven’t lose a game. During this five game winning streak, the Sooners have gone over teams like Oklahoma State and the same TCU team they will meet on Saturday. The TCU defense will have a tough time containing Baker Mayfield, Rodney Anderson, and Marquise Brown. While the Sooners offense will be able to rely on the offense, the defense will also be a benefit. During the season, the Sooners would allow 390.3 yards. So I expect to see the Sooners offense on the field a lot on Saturday. It is also worth mentioning that during this run that the Sooners are on, they have averaged at least five touchdowns per game.

TCU Horned Frogs will win

Unlike the Sooners, the Horned Frogs are coming into the game playing decent. Since Thanksgiving 2017, they have gone won three of there last five games. The two losses have been at the hands of the Oklahoma and Iowa State. Like I mentioned before, the Horned Frogs will need the defense to pick up the pieces and contain this high power offense. For instance, the TCU defense has only allowed 90 rushing yards. Going up against the Sooners running game won’t be easy.

Prediction

Unless the Horned Frogs play perfect football, I don’t see the Sooners not winning this game. You have a team that has a offense that scores 5 touchdowns with out thinking about it. Also, I am firm believer that if you are coming into a title game with momentum like the Sooners, it will help. Let us also not forget to mention that these two teams have already faced each other like a few weeks ago.
